I can see why you would want to defend CC, but when I bought the game it said it was to support future developments. which lately are fare a few between. Right no CC lacks the shine of a finished product and if they were to sell it publicly (via CD or Digital Distribution) I doubt it would fare well. While the game mechanics are good, that is all it has, game mechanics. A single-player only game, even a sandbox one (literally) should at least have an expanded story; Which Cortex Command could really branch out on.

Re: Cortex Command Resolution
You are supporting future developments. It never stated the time frame between payment of yours and completion of game. Infact, it never even stated that CC is to be completed, though by the looks of it it will be.
I just wish people would shut up about that already.

Re: Cortex Command Resolution
Is it really so bad to believe that they weren't just selling an unfinished game?

Also Arne's pretty good at pulling massive stories out of nowhere, so it's likely that there's no worries there. He's started chatting about setting and whatnot here in case you really haven't read around on the forums and have only joined to complain at us.

Re: Cortex Command Resolution
I love how you guys just pile on anyone that even hints at anything negative about this game. The resolution and performance issue will never be fixed because a lot of these people here dont belive in change and will flame anyone who reccomends something diffrent. you could quite easily make it sort of polygon driven so your graphics card would do all the work and you could have higher resolutions (there is a post somewhere about it) Oh yeah - hello after 2 months, I thought I would just pop in to see the progress made - surprise, surprise, absolutely no new updates. I think you should take away the 'our games' button off of the cortex command website, you are having enough problems finishing one let alone starting another... also, if by some miracle another one was actually started will I have to pay good money for that one too and also agree with another disclaimer that 'it might never be finished'?

>Roadkill You're stupid.
We're not piling onto anyone here.
The people here who "dont belive in change" are just being realistic. No amount of optimism or bitching will make Data fix the problems which he has repeatedly said he isn't going to fix.
You evidently know shit-all about programming; you can't just "make it sort of polygon driven". I don't know if you've noticed, but the terrain breaks into individual pixels. That'll be a lot of tiny, useless polygons!
Telling the community to take away the Our Games button is a great idea! Say, Allstone, why don't you do that while Geti fixes the performance issues?
Should Data Realms release another game, you certainly wouldn't have "to pay good money" for it, that is entirely your own choice. If you disagree with the disclaimer, don't buy it. It is as simple as that.
I have no problem with people who are frustrated with the lack of progress, and engine issues. I do, however, take offence at posts like yours.

Re: Cortex Command Resolution
I don't believe the last few posts have anything to do with resolution issues, so unless someone has a reasonable objection to my above assertion I'mma lock this to prevent further derailment.
