You can add people to your "foes" list, effectively blocking all posts (and presumably pms) from your sight.

But yeah, basically winning against any AI is most easily done by exploiting it's weaknesses (genius I know), which in this case are 1. Line of Sight and 2. Sight Range and 3. Perception Delay. You can stay behind cover and bombard them with grenade; they won't think to shoot at your cover or get into line of sight or anything smart like that. If you pop out, fire and then go back into cover, often your appearance will not register in time for them to hit you. If you stay out of the sharprange of their gun, they will ignore the bullets that, to them, are magically appearing out of nowhere.

The mission is quite hard, even with mods but I'd guess its all a mixture of technique, Strategy and knowing what the hell your doing, but like Contrary describes above. We all win with our superior technology: Screen Resolution.

Well you don't really need to do that. I play exclusively on 640x480 and I just hold switch actor to see ahead then I start blind firing.

I Just love maginot, all those crazy last minute escapes digging tunnels across the entire map just to not get shot by the 10 or so dummies waiting just around the corner.

Best tactic is taking the revolver cannon, and hoping the round doesn't go off when it hits the enemy, but when it has ploughed though half their force.
über cannon can be both a live saver and a suicidal tendency inducer. And it might be too expensive.

And I'd like to thank TLB here for making one of the most challenging missions originally in the game, so: Thanks mate!

Haha conflict on forums always make me laugh. Anyway,yes ur all correct and incorrect, well at least some of you. Im serious, maganot is doable without anythng special, all i can say is keep the core of the base safe.damn i hate those impulse grenades... When thrown at me of course.

Maginot is Fun-hard agreed.

Here's a tip, this mission was made by TLB, no? Then surely the mission would be a doddle with one of his mods, because he knows exactly what challenging is, so will naturally make something to fight the challenge.

Lets see...

TLB's dooper-computer makes short work of any enemy, and if one felt cheating ennough, could make himself invincible. Brilliant.

Coming of God clears the way of just about anyone on the surface, and conveniently enough it blockes all of the entrances to your base... and it's free.

So The Last Banana made a brilliant mission, and also made some epic mods perfect for making the mission much more interesting.

:P -thinking- in that case you could just wipe out the entire map... wait a minute someone should make a bombing run (a proper whole map coverage one)... with the press of a button you order a bombing run air strike... just need to stay in the safety of your base and well for those out side the base - there all just a bunch of dummies!

I was planning on doing that, but I got distracted.

I've done it with Vanilla content, specifically the auto shot pistol and a riot shield, but mods are definently the way to go. [splng err]

My favorite right now is akimbo trench guns from the abandoned desert strike mod (I forgot who did that, Geti maybe? Anyways, I'll check) Just float and mash.

TLB's computer brain is also fun when you order like fifteen assault rifles then bring them to life with the turret mode, and just let them go apeshit on everything. I usually even do that with my starting guys, just kill them and reanimate their stuff. It's far more efficient.

And it's a good map for testing and stuff.

Any decent gun with the riot shield works wonders. Sure, you can stick with the auto shot pistol if you insist on coalition content, but a desert eagle works wonders with that setup.

The uzi is more fun, I find. The deagle's a bit boring to use for me, unless I'm playing the strategy game.

If you like the uzi with the riot shield, try the dummy machinegun. The big one that shoots the orange lines. It's one handed. It's ridiculously fun to play using when you also have a riot shield.
