Yeah, I actually got the original Starcraft so I could practice playing RTS games so when I finally get a good enough PC to play Starcraft 2 I won't feel like I wasted my money. My battle.net is Praunstar. I'll play any time, except I can't until about Saturday, I've been checking the forums pretty regularly so I'll make sure not to miss when you guys play. Do you guys have a normal time? Also, Dragonxp, I honestly think that the skirmish AI is default at ridiculously hard, I can only survive like one wave of their horrid onslaught. Seriously, they can control like 80 units at once. Also, I prefer Protoss right now. I'll be getting a better PC around October most likely, and I'll probably get Starcraft 2 then also.
Edit: Holy crap, I just beat the skirmish AI for the first time. I was using the Protoss, and I had 3 Gateways. I spawned 2 full groups of Zealots and Dragoons, and I went and found their advancing units coming towards my base, then killed them all, losing all but 2 of my units. After that, I built 3 full groups of zealots, dragoons, dark templars, and templars, plus a 4th smaller one back at my base just in case. I used the full 3 groups to find every place they expanded, and I slaughtered them all. I only lost about 38 units the whole game. Also, I saved the replay, so I'm wondering, how do you upload a replay?

I still maintain that the SCI AI is awful.

Well, considering how absolutely terrible I am at RTS games, beating easy AI is an accomplishment.

Re: THE DLRFF REAL TIME STRATEGY CENTER: Congrats p3lb0x!
So yeah, I just had a pretty epic game.
It was ZvZ so I went 8 pool tower rush. The other guy scouted it and already had his pool on the way so he fended it off with a few more lings and slightly earlier tower.
We parted and macroed up some guys. I got speed and did some other stuff and then sent all my lings to the foot of his ramp. I saw a bunch of spine crawlers, which I knew would hurt my if I tried to run through, so I snuck a unit around the side, just barely evading the towers. He sends all his lings at me and gets a perfect surround with exactly 32 lings (I checked the replay). Unfortunately, my unit was a BANELING. 30 KILLS (2 escaped). 750 minerals for 50 minerals 25 gas. Starcraft has hard counters? I think so.
He pauses the game and talk for a bit. He unpauses and we keep talking which gives him time to make mutas. I see the mutas and go "oh ♥♥♥♥ oh ♥♥♥♥", run all my lings and no speed banelings through the crawlers (they all die for nothing), and try to attack the drones. The drones run into the safety of the crawlers and I decide to attack the drones instead of the hatchery or tech buildings (stupid me), and while I am able to quickly fend off the mutas with an extra queen and a quick evo chamber for towers, I eventually lose the game because of his map control and the fact that i forgot my other gas so my Corrupters were delayed.
Man Zerg is a lot harder to play than Terran, but everyone already knew that.
Edit: Whoops I went 8 pool not 10 pool; the other guy went 10 pool I think.

They might as well be, but only recently I've discovered how fun they are to use, too. I mean, I'm always happy after playing as them, even if I lose. Which I usually do, since I'm only good at terran turtle strategies.
Also, banelings. TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!

Which is why random wins, you get to play as every faction. Though i do hate getting zvz, tvt, or pvp i hate those. Mostly because the enemy is more skilled in his specialized faction.

I pretty much just like Protoss >_>
Edit: Anyone up for a game? I'll be able to play all day. My battle.net account is Praunstar.

My Battle.net account name is ReaperRandom. I mostly play 4v4, though. I'm best with Terran, but play random most of the time. I suck at protoss though .
