FULL 1600x1400Getting stuff done on this (like, terrain is working (!!!)) so I did a celebratory doodle. Carrion: neat, liking the way the guns are set up.

I like the way it's stood on it's shin bone, and the plants growing off it. Gives an aged feel.

A little draft animation based entirely on matty's version of the techion logo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfOM4lC2pUYFade-in of the letter is unnoticeable, though 10 frames would be but it isn't. And the edges are ♥♥♥♥ up because I was too lazy to draw it and instead copied it.

I think I can do something similar to the other tomorrow. Maybe something more agressive for the CMF logo?
And something strangely innocent and commercial like for the archiral/tradestar logo.
Anyone still have the dummy dreadnought model? I just got an idea.....

Can anyone help me? After I sketch a character, I try and highlight it, but I find myself unable to make it look better, and I am unable to add any details during highlighting. Also, guns are extremely hard to draw.

Do value studies for a day or three first to get the hang of how lighting should happen. Then draw guns for a few more days. You'll be good at all of them after that.
