Post Unusual problems on forums
NEWS: It appears bold text isn't showing up anywhere i go. This explains why moderator names don't appear, the Board index button doesn't appear, and generally anything that uses bold text. Even on other websites.
EDIT: Don't know if this will help, but everything seems to have gone wrong since i downloaded the demo for Company of Heroes. This happened, and another thing, all on the same day, which may or may not be connected.
MAY I ALSO ADD that when i view a webpage as .htm bold text shows up perfectly fine.

Recently, certain important elements have disappeared on my view of the forum.
Things like the Board Index button, Submit button, Bold text button and some names.

It's also happening on other forums:

I'm wondering if it's due to the similar layout of the forums.
I've tried a restart to no avail.
I'm going to try a different browser. this didn't work.

So in the meanwhile can i have some help or advice?
Thanks.

Why would you even comment on this then? Have you tried clearing your cache? Or uninstalling and reinstalling the browser?

What browser? Firefox?

You could have accidentally started blocking some innocuous sequence of letters in a prior-page-load adblock system, and it might be getting wildcard hits on certain page elements in phpBB.

That both forums are phpBB is a bit interesting.

Looks like you're blocking breadcrumbs, from a cursory view of the phpbb output html (for what it's worth).
Code:
<p class="breadcrumbs"><a href="./index.php">Board index</a> &#187; <a href="./viewforum.php?f=32">Data Realms Off-Topic</a> &#187; <a href="./viewforum.php?f=7">Off Topic Chat</a></p>
It's wierd that it's happening after a clean install. Like, really wierd.

Have you installed any extensions for Chrome at all, especially AdBlock?

:/ that's less than great.
can you post the html source of the page on pastebin or something so I can do a diff? just the index should do, if there's things missing there, it's the least likely to have content rearranged besides names.

A pastebin of the Index page is here: http://pastebin.com/uk5JfWKJ
Paste bin is here. I'm not sure if it's the source, I saved the page as 'Webpage - HTML only' then opened in EditPad That was of the 'New Posts' page.

You tried. :???:
But something i've found out, is that sites that use this formatting:
Code:
<b>text</b>
(HTML?) work.
Only sites that use the:
Code:
[b]text[/b]
(CSS?) formatting, like this forum.
