So is Oporto a thing outside of Australia? Had it a couple of times. They weren't bad.

I for one second Crazy's notion that they may not be the best in any one category, but they are truly a jack of all trades.

But their fries are awesome w/ salt.

What region are these In'N'Outs located? Because I live in GA, and I've never seen a single one.

They're pretty much a southern California exclusive restaurant.

They're mostly on the west coast, California especially (if I'm not mistaken they started there?). EDIT: ninja'd

I've had it, prefer Red Robin's burgers better, but they're not entirely fast food so I suppose I can't claim they're all-around a better restaurant.

I'm really tempted to say The Habit (another restaurant chain in my area. (I live near a major street.)) Is better, but it can take longer for the burgers to be made. But, they have the KRISPY CREAM effect, cuz they grill your burgers on site on a grill near the serving counter. Their fries are pretty kickass too. About as expensive as In-N-Out too.

Never tried Red Robin, though I want to. Seems like they're more of a gourmet burger place, which is always nice when you aren't in a hurry.

I've eaten there twice, and I've not been disappointed either time. Specifically, I've had their barbecue burger and their blue cheese burger. Both were plenty to count as a meal unto themselves.

I've always wanted to get a bag of Krystal or White Castle burgers, while we're on the subject of burger joints. Just to be able to say I grabbed a bag of burgers for lunch.

I haven't been to The Habit (they have them up in norcal, too) but from what I hear, it seems to be a somewhat higher quality, slower experience sort of place.

Also, Red Robin is a restaurant. If it doesn't have a drive through, it ain't fast food.

Red Robin is pretty on-and-off, in my experience. I've been there a fair amount of times, and depending on who's cooking it can be pretty terrible. I also find the restaurants almost invariably smell strongly of ketchup. On the other hand, sometimes their burgers and fries can both be pretty good.
But yeah, it's not fast food by any stretch of the imagination.

They do have a peppercorn burger. It's got shoestring onions, bacon, a variety of other stuff.

Pretty tasty.
