Post Tay al-Ard (Modding Theme Entry: Overpowered)
Corpus Kinesis (a galaxy leader in teleportation technology) would like to present the Tay al-Ard.

Image

These fearsome warp troopers are able to infiltrate even the most secure of bases.
Doors, pits, and even walls are no obstacle for their impressive powers.

Sadly, our competitors in the jetpack industry rightly see our new technology as an enormous threat to their business, and as such, we have been unable to provide the Tay al-Ard with a jetpack.

The energy required to power the warp generator is not inconsiderable, and only five warps can be made before it must recharge.
It will attempt to recharge whenever the warp generator is not being used, but the surge created by the warp resets the progress made on charging.

Yeah, we totally fixed that.

It would be pointless to waste such powerful technology on a normal clone, so we have provided a heavily armoured super-soldier.
Able to absorb perhaps hundreds of rounds, the Tay al-Ard will be able to warp past most defences, and then easily destroy any remaining resistance.

However, the cutting edge comes at a reasonable price. For the meagre sum of just 120 oz you too can own a potent Tay al-Ard.

Don't forget to rate out of ten, or we will have a Tay al-Ard teleport into your scrotum.

To anyone wondering, no. This is not what we originally intended to do, but what we originally intended to do deserves more time to be polished and made better.

Nevermind. Updated version fixes this.

Now a 8/10.

This thing is tiiiiiight, and will forever remain in my CC folder. Not super overpowered, but the only Actor we've seen thus far and a cool one at that.

9/10

I give it a 73/100(hah!). Very nice teleportation, but not too overpowered.

I'm sorry, but both me and pete are too qualified as modders to make a thing too overpwered.
We have built in failsafes for that.

Oh hey, would it be interesting to have a bunch of blue glowy things drip off of em like it was concentrated sub-space foam from decompressing after the teleport?

Some sort of exit effect would absolutely finish this

Idea to add a little OP'edness: The act of teleporting cause a sphere of damage around the actor when entering and leaving teleportation. So you could walk next to an actor and vaporize him, then fry his buddy a floor down.

When you sent that protoype to me aaaaaages ago, I had a tonne of fun with it, but it was ESPECIALLY fun when I gave it infinite teleports. Being able to teleport my way half the length of the map in a second to digger a dreadnought in the butt is pretty OP if you ask me, even if I used the default (weak) strength actor you sent me. I think the recharge system is pretty cumbersome and unreadable (its hard to tell how many jumps you have left).

10/10 not because it really fits the theme, but it manages to both be pretty, and uniquely functional, something you don't see often.

+6 for smooth teleporting
+4 for the sprite
+1 for range fix
-1 for not being able to jump
(but I'm assuming you want the Ai to use it, thats why you did it that way)

As you may see, our top mad scientist is on the task of making this even more overpowered and dangerous to everyone around you.

We believe we may have found a minor issue with the warping technology that involves time travel.
We haven't figured out how to exploit this, but we did figure out how to enormously boost the strength of the warp device.

The following suggestions were accepted:

Half of the fun is shooting/stabbing/immolating your opponent from behind, right?

Also, some of you may be wondering about the nature of the self-modification.
Let me assure you that I may never be the same again.
New version is now in the OP.
If you'd like to change your rating out of ten, I'd recommend editing your original post.
