Heal yo self somehow before dying occurs. Or at least stop the bleeding.
The BlueMetal, at least on these Dwarves' armor, reflects anything that isn't a physical attack. So kinesises, telekinesis, ghosts, none will work. Stabbing, shooting, and indirectly telekinesising WILL work.

How do you reflect an internal explosion of fire? Making it an implosion?

No windows, and the door is locked...
An internal explosion would be absorbed and directed outwards, if the armor was properly crafted.

Foa just didn't roll well enough. The sharks were pushovers, so I intend to make the dwarves actually dangerous. These Dwarves are the best of the best. Legendary +5 in all their combat skills, masterwork armor and weapons, etc, etc.

You should know that DF doesn't show above Legendary +5 (equivalent of level 10), and players have made dwarves with levels above a few hundred. If you really want to screw up the players, go ahead and toss some of those dudes in.

I know, but I want to make challenging enemies, not HolisticDetectives.
For those who don't know, HolisticDetective was a wrestler dwarf of legend (Wrestler skill was around 86) who beat people to death with a leather backpack, and wore Artifact Adamantine Plate mail.
Needless to say, she was the most frightening thing a goblin had ever seen.

Allstone is saying that I COULD make them strong enough to pick up a Spire and break it in half.

I think IronBlood or Morul would both be much scarier to goblins, personally. Morul was legendary +5 minimum in every skill, by the way.
Though my friend modded in playable slade colossi to play around with back when bronze colossi were pretty much unkillable, so I'd actually say that an unskilled child slade colossi would be scarier than HolisticDetective, IronBlood, Morul, BoatMurdered defence system and TRIBUTEWEAPON combined.

Also, we're talking about Dwarf Fortress.
And it's pinch your spine out, not break you in half.
