I understand part of this, but not to such an extent. I suppose my disinterest in televised sport might say something about that.

Been reading some more to procrastinate:
I liked this one
List of games on wiki
I'd post more but I'm lazy and my history is messy.

I would like to apologise to everyone for the post that was previously here. My reson is as follows:

I am a diabetic. My blood sugar content was either very high or very low, but I don't know which because I have only a vague memory of it. Either way, my behaviour during the time i made that post was not my normal self.

As you can see in the post below, I was warned severely by Grif, hopefully setting an example to everyone else out there.

Roast Veg you have twenty four hours to deliver a 500-word minimum persuasive essay convincing me that post wasn't completely and utterly useless.

I think it is safe to say that as of now, Nintendo is focusing of how you play the games rather than how original the actual games are, like with the Wii. Who before Nintendo made a little remote you pointed at the screen to move the crosshair in your generic shooter.

On topic, I really like the way the 3DS is looking to turn out, what with the autostereoscopy and all, sounds promising.

Ever played with a Guncon controller? A bunch of consoles have had shooters using controllers that you point, and the controls were way better than a Wii controller.

Lightguns? I'm assuming you're talking about lightguns. Ironically the Wiimote is actually sort of a glorified lightgun with accelerometers in it. But, a point of contention; just because other system can be more precise does not mean they achieve the engineering excellence of virtually all Nintendo products.

I can guarantee you you can drop a wiimote a lot farther than a playstation move controller, even if the wiimote is a lot less technically astounding. Which one of those is more important to an end consumer?

Yeah, I meant lightguns. The Guncon is the Playstation one, so it's the one I know about.

That's what I'm hoping is going to change with the 3DS. That, and I'm bloody keen to play some MGS handheld.
Also with the whole originality concept, the only platform to have consistently innovative games is the PC, with the indie scene. Getting a game to a console audience generally requires more money than your average indie can muster, though wiiware, XBLA and whatever the playstation one is called are starting to reduce the weight of that.

grif, those current games are sequels of original games that came out only a couple years ago. Besides, they are actual games that have been out before. NOT THE EXACT SAME GAME WE'VE PLAYED 10 YEARS AGO (but now in 3D).

Nintendo now is all about making shitty games and marketing them at little kids who are too stupid to realize their game is ♥♥♥♥.

Derp. They're making completely new games. All those games? COMPLETELY NEW. DERP.
(Well, except for those LoZ games.)

Quite a few all new games are being made, from the sound of things. A lot of the nintendo-brand games are remakes, but I don't really see a problem with that. I actually hope they remake Majora's Mask with new meshes and in 3D. That would kick some serious arse.

Ok, I know this might come off as a bit troll-y, but I was on a game trailer site, and I had to watch that abominable mario wii trailer "OH ♥♥♥♥ LOL YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE NO LIFE FAIL ENOUGH TIMES AND WE"LL DO IT FOR YOU" about 20 times. So yeah, now I pretty much hate nintendo. Besides the fact that all they do is reanimate old franchises.
