 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
Can't do that. The slow-motion effect is all-or-nothing - it's playing with a variable in CC that scales time.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
I think he means whenever anything is going faster than x speed it'll slow stuff down.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
Then could you make a TTN, A Tactical Time Neutralizer? Once you use it, it stops time so you can assess the situation, and spray a load of bullets in a direction. I'm guessing you would set the time scale to 0 for that? Or 0.00000001.
E: No I didn't mean that.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
Read the first paragraph here: viewtopic.php?p=364072#p364072Stopping time entirely has pretty catastrophic results.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
If you truly wanted to outright pause a scene, couldn't you have a script that paused the scene activity, kept the Deltatime the same, but set the velocity of everything in the scene to itself * 0? That way, you could suspend everything in the scene and it would have no effect when unpaused because you could set all velocities back to themselves.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
That wouldn't truly pause everything, however. The AI would still be firing their weapons at you. If you wanted to stop those bullets, you'd have to also keep track of them to set them back to their velocity afterwards, which would be a nightmare. As well, anything with a lifetime would destroy itself before time was up, and Lua scripted objects would continue applying velocities.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
This is really awesome. Crashes when changing levels with or without the effect active (but the watch actiated), and when the actor "wearing" watch dies. Do you know about these already?

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
That isn't happening for me. I'm thinking it might be a mac-only problem.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
Bloody Mac CC problems. It crashed for me after gunning down a Dreadnought, though taking out a regular dummy was no problem. Other than that singular issue, however, this is a lovely mod, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
It's probably a Null Pointer issue, that can probably be isolated. I hope B24 gets ported better.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
This is great. Just great. One new idea, though. Make it so the USER doesnt slow down like everything else, so it is a tactical advantage.

 Re: Smooth Slow Motion
So ah... yeah... I ♥♥♥♥ up the timescale by accidentally exiting CC and now I cant get it back, and I made sure that the DeltaTime in Settings.ini in Base.rte is equal to 0.016667. Help, if you can.
