Downloaded this today (well, technically yesterday). I like the special weapons class. I'm pretty bad at medic, and I haven't tried tech. Those parasite are what kill me most, I usually can't survive without the shock armor; the people playing medic aren't always the best.

The personal defence weapons are ridiculously awesome on adrenaline or other slow-mo parts.

You have to use them. It's not a passive item

Damn this is a good game
I mostly play special weapons/medic (mingun/autogun are freakin awesome fun)
somtimes tech/officer (hate the computer hacking minigame)

Anyone up for trying to beat the game on hard/insane, thinking about trying later, anyone else up for it?

Beat it two times on hard now, along with one time on normal.

Insane makes every mission harder than the hardest mission on hard. Parasites everywhere.

If you are playing the bomb mission on easy, pray you do not run into the Godbug, for that is his home. Yesterday, I was on a random server, and on the bomb mission, found Godbug. As Jaeger, I shot him, three times, all point blank, with the vindicator. Godbug did not appreciate the lunch of lead, and decided to have marine for dinner, and he ate me. Then he went and ate the rest of the team. BLUH BLUH, HUGE GLITCH, the other guys reported it and I nicknamed the bug Godbug, in a fit of unfunny inanity.

This game has everything a game called alien swarm needs.

Insane is the only way to play, parasites on the first level ♥♥♥♥ yes.

Also the flamer is useless when playing anything over normal but is pretty much instakill otherwise
