I'm fine with it being applied to the car, the car just needs to man up a little. That amount of deformation would be fine in a "tire" attachable over the metal wheel frame, which would take a lot more pounding to dent, but yeah, currently it feels like I'm driving atop play doh or something.

Someone else has been working on CVE, so I'm thinking Data's gonna finish CC before he works full-time on CVE. Look, Data even said that the Slovakian guy was a better and faster programmer than him, so I'm thinking that Data's main priority is to finish CC while Miroslav works on the CVE.
Of course, Data never said that Miroslav was gonna keep working on it. :???:

What is with Data and deformable terrain and gibs. It doesn't easily make for stable gameplay and as we all know that game design is something Data struggles with.

Maybe it's Data's second shot at a deformable-terrain engine. You know, start off with a clean slate.

All part of the challenge, I suppose.

Hopefully this will make walking with actors easier/actually something worth doing, although... *imagines deformable actors*

Fracture physics= crap (for anything other than glass), I can't believe they seriously considered it as a possibility, it's death animations or gibs, end of story, the gibs don't even have to be CC quality, just a few chunks like every mainstream game.

The post and the .exe.
I like them, but there should definitely be a way to set up internals that spill out when something's fractured.

I would like to see more of this engine, it has a lot of potential. please try the same thing but with 2 guns and 1 enemy, i am intersted to see rocks falling off roofs, something 'Worms' never achieved.

2 guns - 1 normal bullet type weapon and 1 rpg type weapon (rocket)

I recommend this for cortex command 2! please dont impliment it into normal cortex command, try finishing the first one lol.

Saying anything about the second game at the present moment is a bit premature. The demo released thus far is pretty much just a tech demo, and one that isn't finished to boot.

Pretty certain Data will include lots of explodey things to satisfy everyone.

Well, the deformable wheels and body of the vehicle is kinda cool, but still it is a weakish vehicle.
That's why I think we need a customization menu, where we can change the parts of the car.
In it, you could change the car's wheels to a stronger metal so you can't smash/smush the wheels as much.

Vaati, I used to have an account in some other game with your same name, when I was 9 or somthing.
That aside, yes, your idea is a good one. I always love character/vehicle customization in games, but there would have to be limitations, i.e. to get stronger wheels/chassis, you would trade in your gun's power, or secondary(?) fire.
