Madmax's stuf is muuuuuuuch larger. Larger stuff takes more skill, and I don't have the skill to do that large of a picture pixel-precisely. I might give it a go some time though.


Dragon, just so you know, the reason mine looks smoother is because dithering isn't meant to be used as a shade, merely a transition between shades, and still then only on larger images. If you look at my edit you'll see that I didn't use any dithering at all.
(PS: Pixel art specializes in angular images.)

seven hours!! wtf, no offence but that's a pretty simple image. Also the perspective on the blue glowing thing is wrong. And it does seem a bit too shallow to be a helmet.

I say again, MY FIRST EVER PAINTING. For the first three of those hours I didn't know which ass to pull out of my thumb first!

And you're right, it does look rather shallow. Will fix.

It's also suffering from twisted perspective, I think.

@Geti: could you please point out where you find perspective errors? I would appreciate it.

The helmet main armor plate and the blue stripe thingie.
Bluething is pointing forwards and the armor points a bit to the right.

I... think I see what you mean... not sure though. I'll update soon and you can see whether I got the changes right or not. Thanks for the input guys!
