Post Working On My First Scene
Hey, I'm starting on my first scene ever. It will be a Pillar of Autumn map that may have MP3 material. I will most likely stick with just material painting, but would like to know how to use custom materials for scenes. So, would anybody direct me to how you make custom materials for a scene and set it up?

Set your painting/drawing too to the RGB values of the material's RGB value. Draw. Done.

Look in Base.rte/Materials.ini The only things that are in that file are materials.

Yes. Also, make sure the material's "Index" value is one of the "undefined" values, which you can find in the base material ini.

976 is out of bounds, you have to use between 0 and 255.

Another question: Does anybody have a good RGB code for metal that isn't taken?

The main problem wasn't necessarily your material it was the fact that your material RGB wasn't a part of the map palette I added it to it though and it works fine. I also changed the index to 211 for safe measure.

A word to the wise however textures have to be in regular CC palette like sprites so that kind of messed up the texture. They need to be tile-able as well in most cases for them to look well.

Anyway here you go and good luck with the scene.

(Also double/triple posting is not really a good idea in most cases. Try to rely on the little edit button in the right corner  )
