[Suggestion] A.I as ally
Yeah, I just thinking if at campaign or skirmish, I got an A.I ally. So, campaign will not feel alone again. If I play Co-op with my friends, it makes the screen small, the keyboard crowded and it is uncomfortable to play. Hope Data can do this. But before do this, maybe fix the A.I attitude. I don't want a dumb ass ally. Thanks.
BTW, I was inspired by Dxp when playing Generals. He did'nt has any ally and he requested a normal A.I for ally. So, I was thinking, "Why not in CC?"

I had exactly the same feeling, so I made these: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=18915They're guaranteed to not jet your face off or crush you into the dirt. It's not its own army though, you still govern their deployment. Would be nice to have a friendly dropship pop up every now and then.

Re: [Suggestion] A.I as ally
I think I can make something like this, it depends on how complex the ally commander's AI you want it to be. Some easy things I could make without much thinking: -Ally commander can order soldiers. -If a soldier dies, the commander will send more soldiers to that area. -If there is an enemy brain, the commander will send soldiers to destroy the brain.
Some slightly, more complex things that I could pull off, but would take more time/effort: -Commander will "hunt" what it detects as "dangerous" units that it thinks are responsible for deaths of the commander's soldiers. -At the time of a soldier's death, the Commander will scan all objects within a certain radius. It will then send more soldiers into the area. If those soldiers die, and the same objects are within the area, the Commander will make a mental note saying that those objects are dangerous. The Commander will then elliminate the danger or avoid it. -Commander can make its own mental map of the terrain, letting it post snipers at high points and shotgun units in tight areas.

This is enough. It is just like I want. But, if you could make the better one, it will be more awesome.

Re: [Suggestion] A.I as ally
It would be very cool if you did this cricket especially since I tend to just put up some defenses near my brain and be a one man army ignoring anything off screen. Maybe also have the AI station a guard or two around its brain and your brain if there are none already there. Another thought would be to somehow tie this AI into a map screen you could buy that would show what the AI "thinks" of the map. Such as having a red outline around areas considered dangerous, highlighting targets, possibly show where it's sending soldiers, etc. and since you already have a map screen you could just modify it for this. Rusty bullet hole...

Big thanks to CC if he really conjure it up.
If this can be done, then it's time to upgrade the enemy AI as well. It should stop crushing its own troops with incoming delivery at least.

That sounds very ambitious, but if done would be a miracle.

I once had an Idea where a little rolling brain would follow you like a dog and it would attack any enemies that got close to you.
I'll have to start working on that one again...

'Why not' is a good answer for motivating new thoughts. Though eventually it's gonna have a proper reason.
