Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
There's only one I know of right now: If you have a pointer to an object that gets destroyed, attempting to call its PresetName/ClassName will Windows) return nil. Mac) crash.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
In that case, that is almost certainly what's happening. Blah.
How would I go about padding that with safety?

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
You could check if the object is still existing before checking PresetName/ClassName. Like, Code: if MovableMan:IsActor(self.pointer) then or Code: if self.pointer.GetsHitByMOs == true and self.pointer.ID ~= 255 then ect ect.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
Awesome mission. I like the water. My friends are also like it. BTW, the easy version is too hard and not easy anymore. You know, I just can beat the second episode(without mod) and the third episode(with mod). The first episode, I can't beat it, when I come to the last lobby, the doors are closing in much time, so, my Gordon always hit by Coalition Shotgun. And, I have tips for the third episode. Buy, a digger charge in LtM using Orbital Teleportation by Capnbubs 4 times(Use money cheat, {don't know?}). Then, USE YOUR BOMB to destroy those generator.

You shouldn't actually buy anything. In these missions it actually counts as cheating. I know it is a hardcore mission, but cheating won't make it more fun. Tip for the first mission. In the last lobby try heading for the door within the last 5 second.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
This mission sucks or i have missed something? It is hard as ♥♥♥♥! Especially it's hard to do something more useful with jumping. Now i tap the jump button only if i want to crush my head... Or celling. I can't jump in any direction. Just up to break my head. P.S: The "Easy" mission is too hard!
Double post merge -Duh
Oh... I wasn't serious enough. But NOW I'm serious. You should put some healers/respawners/checkpoints in your missions to make 'em even more awesome... Or just playable. P.S:or maybe just add a jetpack. Because i cant get out from the big chamber in first mission... And play any other mission without beating the first.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
Brah, chillax OR BE DESTROYED BY THE HOLY WRATH OF DUH.
The jumping doesn't crush Gordon's head, he's been strengthened to prevent that. And you need to learn how to move strategically. Like I say, people need to learn how to navigate through CC to prepare for the coming (hopefully) godly AI. This mission is entirely possible to beat, it just takes a few tries.
Have patience, young grasshoppa, and you will be spared THE HOLY WRATH OF DUH.

Or celling. I'm making an easier version of the campaign and for the jumping. It is extremely useful if you can do it properly and did you know that you can press "walk forward" and "crouch" to dive forward. If you jump straight up and then using the crouch forward trick you can dive as long as the height of your jump. PS: the crouch forward trick is something that has always bin in cortex command (at least B23)

Just because you can't beat it doesn't mean its a bad mission. Btw, I FINALLY BEAT THE LAST LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!! When I do it again, I'll post pics. And yes you just have to get used to playing the level over and over again until you get it. Like Modern Warfare 2 on Veteran. You play it over and over again until you are able to get it down.

Awesome that you beat it. I admit it is a bit to hard (at least i need a easier version), but when you test out everything to remove bugs it'll get quite easy very fast and it'll get very hard to balance it. I actually fought when i made the easy version that a player might need 1 or 2 tries before succeeding Also the main reason why i made this mission was because i wanted to make a hard mission were exploiting the AI isn't a solid tactic and you need to face the enemies. Glad you liked the mission. You'll properly be happy to hear that i am making a sequel to the campaign, but it'll be entirely different. It'll include vehicles (that you can enter and exit), puzzles, exploring and of cause action.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
So are you going to only follow the Ronin Story Line or are you also going to expand into the other factions like the Clones or Dummies?
I think a really good idea, if you want to expand, is to co-work with Gotcha and UniTec, seeing how the UniTec Faction is more human orientated than clone orientated. I would really love to see missions with as much brilliant work as yours and UniTec.

Re: Exodus (Ronin Campaign)
Great work; this is a completely awesome campaign and the water works perfectly! My only gripe is that by the time you can destroy the third generator on the final mission, the piles of drop crates tend to have blocked the platforms you need to jump onto in order to reach the generator. That, along with the huge numbers of enemies that arrive by that time, make it annoyingly difficult. Otherwise it isn't TOO difficult.
