So, I just finished H.A.W.X. and I think it was good. I've been looking for good combat flight games like Microsoft CFS 3 and F-22 Lightning 3.

I'm just crazy about airplanes. Particularly jet planes.

Suggestions?

I don't know about jetplanes, but my favourite flight sim is easily IL-2 Sturmovik.
World War Two, there are a couple of jets, nothing major.

It is worth noting that it is definitely more of a realistic experience than say, HAWX.
The damage model and sheer variety of planes is incredible. It does have a large learning curve, but once you figure it out, it really is amazing.

just cause 2 has some fun aerial fights.

Ever played any of the Ace Combat series? For their lack of storyline in the later installments, they still maintain great dogfighting.
If you're up for space combat, I can recommend Project: Slypheed for the combat, while the story, to put it nicely, sucks big time. Also, if you hate anime you'll just have to skip the cutscenes.

What Pete said. IL-2 is fun for me, purely because of the damage simulators. I'm don't think there are many jet planes though...

PC? Then Freelancer is a safe bet, if you're OK with space combat. Sure, the commands are a little simplified compared to, say, CFS3, but the sheer variety of content and huge, fully-explorable world more than make up for it.

Tried that. Loved it. Completed it. Got bored. Dumped it.

Also, I didn't say that I want simulators, if you read my posts carefully. Arcade or simulator, doesn't really matter unless it's utterly unrealistic.

Games like Crimson Skies and H.A.W.X. are weird. They aren't simulators, but what are they?
