   |   Re: Proto-RTSBecause those units have developed a negative relationship with each other, likely from one of them having high innate aggressiveness and attacking the other, which will attack back in self defence. Because getting attacked makes them angry (adds to an aggressiveness modifier) whoever survives (or both of them if they stop scrapping) will probably go on and punch someone else.Similar thing to a tantrum spiral in DF, really.

   |   Re: Proto-RTSThink of it as a tribal feud. If I get inter-relationships working (eg someone doesn't like someone because they did something bad to someone they liked) it should resolve itself fairly quickly, as now it's more like a brawl than a two/three sided fight.

   |   Re: Proto-RTSGame doesn't display on my EEE pc.
Runs just fine, and the console displays active game updates, but the screen window just doesn't display and stops responding.

   |   Re: Proto-RTSHmmn, running which version, Paul? Could be compatibility issues on either side, I've had to fix a few GPU issues with love before (it has non-Po2 rendering by default so it has a bit of a meltdown on old cards, fixed by padding all the images to Po2 dimensions beforehand).

   |   Re: Proto-RTSOh, okay, nevermind. It takes a few minutes to get the screen visible (during which the console is still updating, which is odd), but eventually the screen is visible and the game is...well, playable is the word, I suppose.
But a framerate that peaks at 14 fps and is more often 7 is not quite ideal.

Hahah, playable is barely the word at the moment, there's quite a bit to do. The framerate is so low because of all the iteration the game does each frame. I might sort that out in love, or port it to something with proper class support, like flash or C++/#, we'll see how it goes. I've got another project eating my time at the moment though..
