Well yeah you can one hit all the other speed/attack pokemon with your speed/attack pokemon, but against properly defense specced pokes you wont unless you use stat boost moves a tonne and/or are typed right.

Or you just use physical moves against special walls and special attacks against defense walls.

But then there are Pokemon like Shuckle who are walls against both. And then there is the fact that if you have a Pokemon specced for Special attack AND normal Attack, you probably won't have enough speed to beat other speed attackers or enough attack to one hit anything. Plus, switching out gives the opponent a free move to do anything they want, like switch, buff, heal, lay down a substitute, or even attack.

What I'm trying to say is that you can 1HKO everything if you're a much higher level, but it's pretty even otherwise. Pokemon isn't really that deep or anything, but it's not THAT simple.

I play original gold. I have 286 hours logged on that game. That's what I call "dedication".

Well, better hope your battery doesn't die out. 286 hours + years of standby is a lot for a button cell to go through.

Contrary that only applies against real players who EV train.
The computer players are dumb and don't know how to play.
You can beat the whole game even with one badly specced pokemon if it's the only one you level up.

Yeah it's generally better because of the fewer pokemon and the fact that you can actually remember what each one does.

why didn't they just remake crystal? why do they keep spitting out pairs with a tiny difference between the two? it's stupid (because the only difference is legendary pokemon, and people, or at least I, would prefer if all the legendary pokemon were in all the games).
