Try to make the outline more reactive to the colour it is outlining.

I think what he means is, for example, using a darkish brown outline instead of a darkish black for the wooden parts.

Lafe, the texture on that hull is astonishing coming from you. I would suggest you continue working on it for a bit.
The only problem currently would be that the aforementioned texture is almost indistinguishable, so you might want to up the contrast a bit, which would also have the advantage of making it more visible in caves.

Cricket, that looks pretty nice, very reminiscent of Arne's style, but the red wiring is a touch odd looking.
I don't really know what to do about it though. The valve on the jetpack is a nice addition, as are the seams on the head.

CC48, I would use a bit less of outline inside the sprites and where tyey touch eachother. Like, the fg legs n arms and the part of the body pointing forwards.

Collective: More dynamic shading rather than pillow shading (look it up).

CC48: That's hot and you know it.

lafe: That's uh, a nice texture, but I wouldn't be able to tell that it's a frigate and not a background even if it was flying.

Outlines now. Both interior and exterior.
At present it is difficult to distinguish any edges, particularly within the hul.

The top grip has sort of an awkward shape.

It's too big, shrink it to the size of the coa assault rifle then clean up your lines abit.

Sorry for double post, but I think it's a great idea to bring this to your attention:
