10.6.3:
The window opens for a very short period of time (or rather, process runs, I've lagged the processor and seen it open for longer) and then just closes.
Console gives this error when run from Finder.
com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[206] ([0x0-0x13a13a].com.omnigreat.CorTool[28060]): Job appears to have crashed: Bus error
Terminal allows it to run... but if you click on it you get "Bus Error."

So it's a "bus error" I guess.

Is that the only error it gives?

Okay. I'm gonna fix this with the process of elimination.

Can you download that and tell me if it works? It really should work, but it completely lacks memory management, so it will eat up memory while it's running, but clears after you close it.

If this works, I'll begin adding memory management, thoroughly debugging at each step until there are no leaks at all.

(The weird download link is because of a file sharing app I'm starting to use that automatically uploads any file you drag into its menubar icon. Makes things so convenient.)

How about this one?

I added memory management to the CorController class and tested it thoroughly.

Woot! Alright, this means I can do the rest.

The error was caused by a segfault, which was coming from an error in the way I released objects from memory. I re-read 4 articles on Cocoa/Objective-C memory management and I know what I did wrong.

Time to get to work! 8)

Next up is installing mods from archive files and groups of mods.

The installing from archives will be relatively simple.

Groups of mods will be tricky because I'm not sure if I can pull it off without subclassing NSTableView.

But, sadly, none of this can happen soon because I just left my MacBook at the local MacAuthority to be repaired. On the good side, I got to use an iPad. So... shiny... (and heavy, too)

Yep, I love that mod. That may be an old version, though. I downloaded it when it first came out.

I'll have some time soon, then I'll go on and do a complete redo of it :)

I will start using this in 2-3 days, but I don't know how 'done' it is, so I don't mind too much either way.
