Well, personally, i hate DotA, which is what this game is based off of, however, this game is just so addicting. so much pretty effects and the heroes are unique.

Now, you may be wondering why i even played something based off something i hate, well it's because HON is so much easier to master, the people are matched with you based on their skill, people also tend to be slightly more friendly.
The heroes all have a story, which is something i like.
You can ban heroes which aren't balanced.

It offers a large array of heroes to choose from, which i love.

from DotA, many things that made DotA hard to master been weeded out.
- Recipes allow you to buy all the items at once, instead of going to individual shops and hunting for an item.
- When players leave, AI take over.
- They match-make based on skill, no more instant kicks.
- Nice interface, and awesome spell effects.
- HardCore DotA players now can boast their skills with a level system.

Never played it, heard about it, told me its awesome, but the "soon 30$" keeps me away from it.
Same clone of DoTa is called League of Legends. I play it, but i suck so meh
