That's what I mean by fluid, as in stutterless motion. Atleast that's what i got on crazys server.

To see it like that it had to have been over 20 fps, but the problem is when the background moves, because it has to refresh or update all the pixels being displayed, rather than a single charactor or a few.

Try it in a scene with a static black background. Assuming the image compressor is competent, it'll probably send significantly faster than a more complicated background.

You mean the background on a map? That's a good idea, but it's just a shame that the visuals would be compromised. I'll try that now for performance until I can get the fps working normally even with a background.

At the very least online multiplayer would be possible.

Oh, and, if anyone is interested, like Enforcer said, I have my own room, so PM me if you want to play.

I'm having a go at hosting my own room, if anyone is interested: http://www.elluminate.com/trial/m.go?mk=BWTJgsT2r0wK7dyl

It's sad we need so many rooms, we just can't have more than 3 or 4 people on there at a time.

Don't go to the bathroom, or otherwise leave your pc unattended whilst application sharing, or people can, and will hijack your pc.

That's actually a scary concept that came into my mind earlier, now my fear has been confirmed.

In fact a disgruntled player could close down CC and bugger your desktop.

Yes indeed. I, however, merely made that post and sent myself a PM to inflate my ego. :)

I trust him not to do anything like that, so that's why I left him unattended. I can stop the control at any time, though.

Further more, it seems to be faster and safer to stream only CC.

FoiL and I were testing some things out.
Messing with backdrops doesn't make it lag less.
After 640x480 changing the resolution doesn't help much.
You only need to send half of the window when playing, decreasing lag.

Perhaps it isn't the moving around that's the problem, but the control sharing?

I believe that the information is relayed trough a server. If that's the case this is pretty much as good as it's going to get.
