Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Man someone should make a lua scene that does turn based gameplay using AI mode commands.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Ah. England to Spain is undoubtably faster and less skippity than England to America. Which, btw, is unbearably bad once you start playing.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
You'll want to be geographically close if you want this to work at any bearable speed. So I guess someone might have to make a similar server for America. Perhaps even several, if demand is great enough.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
So Enforcer, how well does it work between you and your friend?
We might get that sticky taken down after all.

I still have to find better ways to optimise it. Quote: You'll want to be geographically close if you want this to work at any bearable speed. Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Me and Enforcer found a way to make it run better, we basically make it only share a region of the screen.

So how's the lag, now? This seems interesting.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Basically, it runs totally fluid when the screen isn't shifting; but when somebody jets through the air at 100 mph, then it becomes a slide show. Atleast, that's how it played for me when I joined Crazys' room. There must be a way to fix this, then it should be perfectly playable.
Also it depends on your connection and location at the moment, eventually it should be completely fluid.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Or maybe it can't be further optimized, and this will be as good as it gets. It sounds not too bad as is. Just accept that there is a limit to what can be done to make it faster.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Such as? They might not help anyway, there's only so much you can do to speed things, especially if the code isn't yours.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
There is alot I can try to speed it up.
As I said, the only problem with it is when somebody jetpacks through the air at speed, when I was playing on Crazys' server, when things were only moving slowly everything was perfectly fluid. As in about 20+ fps.
All the program does is update the places/pixels on the screen which change, such as the background, which shifts as screen moves. It can't be too hard to find a way to fix that.

Re: Enforcers' CC multiplayer room
Hey hey guys why do I not hear the sound of everyone's head exploding? Mine certainly is.
20 frames? Per second? Is that accurate?
