Post Performance limits?
I am buying a new PC with a I5 processer and 8 GB DDR3 ram with x64bit Windows 7, Will I see any performance improvements over my old pentium D with 2gb ram?

In CC? Your framerate will skyrocket.

+1

But you know, he might not. CC has an affinity with old shitty computers.

Interesting, I figured there might be a engine bottleneck.

No I'm kidding. My friend sunk $1000 and it works about 1000x as well as on my shitty computer. He could run about 5 CCs better than I could run one.

I don't really know how good your upgrade is (I don't understand computers), but there IS a small point where empirical evidence has shown that improvement did... Not improve.

It's really just an in-joke. DR Folk legend, so to speak.

The new i3/5/7 cores have been shown to run Cortex exceptionally well, even with no great GHz improvement.

This is why we need more contribution to the performance survey.

Actually, thanks for reminding me of that. I meant to do it, but I didn't have my comp at the time, soooo... bye.

Sometimes my CC lag's a lot. because of lot's of soldiers on the map (i think)
What this game requires from PC?

Why my CC doesen't run good. I mean all the other games run pretty good. Like Metro. Works with 1920x1080 Medium DX11 -no tesselation | AA2 FPS about 30-50. I thought i have good PC, but CC put my pc lag like a hell :D

RAM? 2Gt DDR3 1333Mhz
Good Processor? Athlon II 630 X4 2,8 2MB L2 Cache
Graphics Card? Ati 5770 Vapor
Operating System? Win 7 32-bit

Mainly because CC doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about how good your graphics card is, it mainly uses RAM and your CPU.

Seriously, you can run Crysis on full graphics and have trouble starting this game up, or it could go the other way around.

What about a Intel Duo Core 2 e6750 clocked to 3.2ghz (FSB 400)? game seems to lag when about 100 particles or more is on the screen...

(btw im experimenting with some of the settings atm... running 720 HD res, and have the timing on .00106667, and fullscreen)

yeah ~.00106 is a rediculously low deltatime, that's almost 1k sim frames per second, which will make your computer ♥♥♥♥ itself ten times over. The default of 60 SFPS is too high for quite a lot of old computers, I'm unsurpised about your results.
Read viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14593
Also 720p is a silly resolution to run a retro pixel game.
Please don't do stupid things and complain about lag.

People, CC only uses one core. Doesn't matter if you have a new hexcore or a pentium 4*. It's all about the Ghz of ONE core.
And It isn't supposed to run on full hd, that would be unplayable, I mean, do you even see your soldiers?

*More then one core will make it run slightly faster, since all other programs will be moved to the other core(s).

Oh and the i5 totally crushes it! 1000fps has been recorded.
