Post Saving custom made Skirmish bases
Heya,

I have recently bought Cortex Command and have finished the demo campaign, and am now trying skirmishes. However, every time I create a base on the skirmish, I have no means to save it, there is an option called 'save scene' but it does not function, therefore I will have to remake my custom base every and any time I decide to try or restart a skirmish.

Is there any way which I can save custom bases on skirmishes so that I do not have to constantly remake it?

Thanks in advanced.

Use the scene editor?

You could just make a really big bunker module.

See the Unitec prefab bunkers.

Esh, you guys got him wrong.

If cc is in your Program files it needs admin permission to save files, [aka. your scene].
Therefor, move CC onto your desktop to prevent this from happening.

You guys know there's a little icon when in bunker editor mode in skirmish that says "Save" right? It's at the bottom of the pie menu.

It doesn't function in skirmish mode, but it does function in scene editor mode, which I believe requires purchase of the game if you haven't already...

My CC is in Documents.
'Save Scene' in skirmish mode is grayed out and does not work.
And I'm pretty sure he's talking about skirmish.

What about outside of program files and into the drive directory itself?

But Unitec prefab bunkers? Is this in the scene editor? The thing is since you don't use funds to construct your base in the editor it's kindof like cheating if you just want to play a skirmish. Being able to just get loads of stuff for free to no end kindof devalues everything.

Making a prefab as they mentioned means pasting together bunker module images into a mod .rte then making a new bunkermodule out of it. They're quite simple if you know what you're doing. Just take a look at Base.rte's bunker module definitions (Base.rte\Scenes\Objects\BunkerModules) for the ini code you need, and the images they point to for what you need to paste together.

Pointing out some things.

Did you like, purchase it?

Edit: Hey guys, use scene editor, it isn't cheating.

Yes, I have purchased the game.

As I said, the scene editor allows you to add things to no extent without costing funds, it is sortof like cheating.

Hmm, I would try this but at this moment I am not well enough to concentrate on such things. I will try this another time. Thanks for the help.

Um, just don't build units, only the bunker, or lower your funds.
