So this isn't a thread proclaiming how awesome M&B is, and showing all the gameplay features and mods. This is a thread for discussing M&B. Favorite factions, mods, tactics, units, etc. If you want to know what M&B is, take a look at this Facepunch thread.
So what are your favorite factions? Mine's the Native Expansion Vaegirians, just cause they seem to be the best all-around class.

I played it a bit at my friends house- I'll probably get it.

My Character: Broad Throwing Knives, Skinny Throwing knives, a not-for-throwing knife, and rocks.

No shoes but a nice touque (beanie for you southerners).

Has to be the Khergit Khanate.

Oh yea, I forgot to say how I like my character. Heaviest and best armor I can find, on a heavy charger. I've got a powerful longbow, a hand-and-a-half sword, and javelins. I am the angel of death on the battlefield. I'll start off picking off people from a distance, let my cavalry smash into them to weaken them, then I'll plow in with my infantry, all while having archers fire from a distance. On average, I loss maybe one person every six battles.

I use Vaegirs, and solid formations of archers. Sure, it's cool to have cavalry, but they never even reach me during battles. Me? I wear padded armor, and carry a longbow.

But then you're so slow on the world map. An all cavalry crew can decimate pretty much anything, especially the top-tier cavalry.

Mine would be the Nords, just massive axes and some archers to back them up. No panzy horses, they always get stuck in the enemy lines and get chopped to pieces. I'll often make one big line(preferably on higher ground) and let their Cavalry smash into us, that's when heavy nord weaponary really rules any opposition.
And I actually still ride a horse, handy when fighting small enemy forces or to get to the position you want your troops on.
Heavy armor, shortend military scythe, battlehammer/big axe, bow and arrows.

If not I'll play the Rhodoks, the crossbows really dish out damage, and their infantry is nearly invincible when in a tight formation.

Does anybody here play Native Expansion?

I play Hegemony, but I played Native expansion when it first came out, it was the best back then.

I haven't tried Native Expansion, it says they got rid of looters. I can't get past early levels without mah looters.

Yea, it's pretty difficult when all you can find are war bands, but if you go towards the Vaegirs region, you can find small (25ish) bands of bandits. They're pretty easy to take out, especially with a horse that has decent charge.

I don't like horses or cavalry. I'm a phalanx kinda guy, myself.

Every time I've got infantry, they end up dieing like flies against archers.

Which is why I'm a Khergit Khangate, all cavalry 26 horse archers, 15 lancers, and 40 merc cavalry lol.

The merc cavalry just kinda built up, they do not die often....
