Re: Metroid
That dropship=epic, but we need the green emissions pl0x. I can do some coding, although I'm a tad rusty and I'm not any better than some of the superstars like whitty who have signed up for this. If you want me to do a gun or an actor to free up some of the more talented people, I'll do it.
If you choose to take me up on this, email me, don't PM me.

Re: Metroid
Awesome. I'll keep working on the Samus one unless someone thinks they can do better. I'm also open to suggestions and will tweak it as I go. What would you say are the "must haves?" Samus, naturally. The dropship has already been made, and we can't not have a metroid! Maybe her different suits?

Re: Metroid
Well yeah. I epic failed- but you can try to salvage what you can, if you like.
Grahgahgh I'll see if I can maybe do a scaled-down version later.

Re: Metroid
The only problem I can see with those sprites is her hair. It needs to be more tidy.

Re: Metroid
Using those, I could probably make one of her in her suit with no helmet just for kicks, and I can see some more detail that I'd like to add to the helmet. It might not be for a few days, though. I've got genetics work to do for the time being.

Re: Metroid
Ok I finished the code for samus to turn into a morph ball and back again.
She can heal only when in ball mode (ball mode?) do you agree?
When you finish the sprites we'll work on making the bombs and moving the ball.
I don't know how we can make the ball roll, as of now I am using a coalition soldier and a crab to simulate the modes.
I am thinking an invisible very low force jet pack to spin the ball to move? or tricky lua rotating stuff?
Ideas / thoughts anybody?
Anyway i'll be working on those silly metroids in the mean time.

Re: Metroid
You need to make them drain your energy super fast or it wont give the desired effectof OMGWTFBBQ I die in 2 seconds wtf?? also, just pointing it out that metroids are super weak against ice weapons just in case you didnt know.

Re: Metroid
I didn't know that.. Funnily enough I have no idea about anything to do with the metroid. lol. But anyway I don't know how to make them less resilient to ice attacks? Are they flammable?

Re: Metroid
Not really. And they float around.
Btw, you should play the 2d metroid games, they're great.

Re: Metroid
Most of what I sprite nowadays isn't even usable. I occasionally do for requests and junk, but for fun I just sprite for the sprites sake; I know that even if I do make an actor of it it will be a resprite. Who needs more Heavy Coalition resprites, honestly.
Also the normal CC perspective is boring. I see you leaning towards angled as well, LFoW.
(Pun? Not a pun? I guess you should be the judge of that.)
Edit: Also, get it? Your name is "Lowest Form of Wit" which is a pun.

Re: Metroid
1 vote pun, and a strange angled one at that Ok metroid spirte the good bad and the ugly. Are they big enough? the right colour? And if you come in a curtain range of the critters they will attack you and suck your life force right, or are they more passive/aggressive?

Re: Metroid
I can do the morph ball as an animation, but don't know enough about lua programming to do anything other than make suggestions. The only thing I can really think of to have it move quickly would either be rolling like you had said or maybe a barely-noticeable hover? I should have the morph ball ready in a few days. Samus herself might take a bit longer to work out all the tiny details and animation kinks.
