No I wasn't really including you in this, you actually helped me get something done, because when some tells me "Your sprite is crap" It's really hard for a noob like me to improve it.. And thanks for the tip, I had it transparent at first, but that was when my module icon was all black letters, it looks a lot nicer now that they are red.

Right, there were only two people who ever really complained, faction mods with the intent of growing even with a single gun sprite should still receive comments and critique, gives the creator a more solid base to work on.

The module icon looks too "plain" to me, I don't think transparency will help either. I'd prefer it if the backgroud was black, and the characters/lettering be white, beveling on the borders and character would look nice. Metalic emblems.

I have nothing to really say about the super soldier sprite until it's more complete. \

No guy, it's hard to improve when people say "your ♥♥♥♥ is the sex" when it isn't. Lots of us starting out making crap sprites. The first step is realizing and accepting that hey, maybe your stuff isn't perfect. I suggest you go and read MLC's fancy new guide. Try just splicing together some Vanilla junk.

Edit: Now that I actually look at it, the revolver isn't too bad, actually. If you make the outline darker and reduce the contrast between the revolver main colour and the highlight, it should be ok.
Actually, the shading on the super soldier isn't too bad either. Your shading and lineart is pretty decent for your first go. All you need is better colour choice. Remember to zoom out sometimes to view it the way people will actually see it when you post it here/they play it in-game.

Also take this to heart, reading a spriting guide doesn't make you a expert (a "no duh" but hey), read it, absorb the concepts. Sprite something, if you love it, if you think it's good, go ahead and post it, that's how I got my first DSTech sprites done. You'll be improving as you continue spriting, your mental image of your mod will mature.

So lemme get this straight, you tried to delude yourself into thinking the community wouldn't flame you, and then you post this little gem when we do? Releasing first mods is frowned upon. Making a topic with not even done WIP sprites of a soldier from your first mod is even worse. But go ahead and "contribute", I'll be sure to try out the mod you make, so that I may make fun of it.

No Benpasko don't do that. Just because his first sprites weren't fantastic doesn't mean you should break him before he's had some experience.
