Decent way to resolve the problem though.

Require that mod contest PM votes have to be sent with the prefix "MC6" and then add a filter to your PM box to divert them into a specific inbox.

Don't count votes that don't contain the prefix.

I say a re-vote on the mods. It would stink for the original winner to not be able to pick the theme, since it's part of their prize. (and to prevent early preperations)

That may be the best you can expect since probably most people who voted just moved on afterwards. Either wait a bit longer or just cut your losses and release it, setting up the next mod contest this way from the outset.

Ah hell, this contest was crippled from the start. Henceforth, MC6 will be known as the ostracized step child of the mod contest family.

And it's all thanks to the forum polls not working. Maybe we should use the PM voting method at the begining of MC7 to prevent problems.

Yeah, it's looking like I have to, at least until the forum revamp that's being hinted at.
