TomThom wrote: wait, so is this game available geti? i need a new RTS. Well, it doesnt play like a game yet... at all, but you can head over to the love2d forums to get a fairly recent version. look up Proto-RTS on the projects forums. its about a month into development at the moment, I'll probably abandon it after i lose the drive to make proper factions, but after i've implemented saving and controls.

Ugh, I finally finished this thing, it was irritating me to put it off any longer. I had to do a lot of stamping unfortunately as I was on a time limit.

I told my buddy I couldn't finish it because I was a lazy ♥♥♥♥♥ back in December, I finally figured I should do something with it since it was half finished. I feel like an ass but I just couldn't finish his request. Nice sketch Fylth, quite dramatic.

Re: Art Dump
oh yeah, forgot to comment. Loving the detail in the trees very much. possibly, more leaf shaped clusters within the bunches of "leaves", but still, damn cool.

I think I fixed the tree turtle, hopefully he doesn't look like a tree turtle now.

Re: Art Dump
I had a little bit of fun with my finished map maker(well almost finished I need to make a "save as" and "are you sure you want to clear" dialog boxes, those functions work already but I want some GUI and cancel options): fylth go here: http://tigsource.com/articles/2010/02/0 ... on-results , you might notice a lot of games on there use these graphics and also "As stated before, all of the art and music for Part One is now available (image-heavy) for you to use in your own (non-commercial) projects. They have been released by their creators under a Creative Commons license.". The assemblee competition was a two part competition, in part one artists would make graphics, in part two programmers would use those graphics to make a game, since I started this little project whilst the competition was going on that's why I'm using these sprites. just saying

I like how the banner stands out from the almost noir environment. Oh, and a new WIP pic. Another practice.
