Re: PvP
You can use two screens if you set up dual monitor mode, and then put the window on the space in between monitors. Works quite well. Now, go coax some friends into playing it.

Re: PvP
I've played the dual keyboard setup a few times but being used to keyboard + mouse it makes me want to get some gamepads. Also there was this one time that me and a few mates while we we're at school during lunch in a random class room. We hooked up the projector and laptop, pointed it at the ceiling. Then we all lied down on the floor and took turns at playing The Reject, highly recommended.

Re: PvP
I definitely want to. I made a damn 2 player CTF map for this purpose! I have yet to be able to test it with a human opponent. Mostly due to the fact that I don't want to buy a wired 360 Xbox controller out of principal since I own 2 wireless with a play n charge and I can't believe they didn't add a function for wireless controllers to send imput through them.
Le sigh.

Re: PvP
I play with a friend whenever I can manage to. And if I'm with somebody that enjoys games, and we're at my computer, at the very least I expose them to Cortex Command. I tried this with my cousin not long ago and he complained, "I don't like this, it's ridiculously hard to aim with these guns." "Well, Ryan, I'm sure you'd have trouble aiming your gun if you were flying 50 miles per hour through the air and smashed yourself into a cliff-face. You see, aiming works best when you're stationary, or prone." "Whoa, you can go prone, what button do you push to do that????" See the damage that comes from years of Call of Duty? But my good friend Austin, who had moved to the east coast, is in town for a month, so we're gonna play the hell out of Cortex Command. If I can get another friend of mine who has moved a just a little out of town to come in, we can get 3 players going. Then all we need is #4, and the mayhem begins! I've never done 4-player CC before, and I'm itching to try it out.

Re: PvP
Me and a friend who also has the game play together sometimes, normally on the same side but sometimes against each other (mainly on concrete pit where we take an actor each and fight til one dies, then the looser gets to buy someone new...see how long one actor can survive)

You're welcome. :U Anyways, i sometimes play with my brother, since he knows how much i despise PvP combat after all these years. Still, playing together with someone is a lot more fun than playing alone. Hhe always ends up blasting me with something, though, after which we often have a minor war, which usually ends in a large part of the level going missing. Fun times.

Re: PvP
Never, not once. I have a couple friends that kinda like CC, but like me, don't think it's worth playing when mouse controls aren't available. 360 controllers might make it worth it, but none of us with any have bothered to try.

Re: PvP
Well, this is a very small collection of players, but I guess not everyone who plays Cortex posts here.
I think some multiplayer game videos would really help attract new players. Does anyone know any good screen recordings that won't lag a computer to hell? Don't say hold down print screen.

Re: PvP
player versus player can be a hell of a lot of fun. i have a small group of friends who i play cortex command with sometimes. unfortunately with no way to balance the game other than, saying NOT to do crab bombs, dig into brain rooms or just continually smash craft into the enemy base. which always happen anyway as soon as the slightest tinge of boredom hits.
