   |   some quick noob questionsSo i just got CC a couple of days ago, i really like it but i need some help. i cant seem to find a manual or tutorial on the AI; whenever i set up a AI mode they either decide to jump off the nearest cliff when in sentry mode or in Gold digger AI they just sit their and spaz out swinging the digger every which way but where the gold is. Do i need to do something beforehand or so i really need to micromanage every single robot for fear of suicide or running of out money?
tried searching AI and AI problems but i didn't see anything

Edit: Jesus i forgot about this thread. can a mod just lock it before it turns into a flame war?

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsThe AI is currently really bad. This works two ways. There isn't really much you can do.Though some people made some mods that can slightly offset the AI's stupidity.

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsThe best way to gold dig is to use the goto AI mode and manually set points to where you see the biggest gold deposits underground. Usually the actor will get to the gold and dig it out. However, it's still not a perfect way of doing it. This will be fixed in the future.

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsI actually never thought of that. Now all we need is an AAL digger ship that can be given GoTo commands.

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsMost people do the Go-to trailing and it works pretty well but is more time consuming than if there was an actual Gold Dig AI.
If you want roaming Sentries, again use the Go To Command.

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsSince I don't want to make a new thread for this and I'm not sure where to post I have two questions.
Is it possible to completely prevent the enemy from spawning in Skirmish or at least signal when.

Is there a way to get unlimited income in Skirmish Build Mode?

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsAlright, for unlimited money, you'll need a money cheat item. I did this with my blunderbuss, but someone else posted a more elegant solution. I didn't test this at all, but the code should work, if I did the CopyOf right.

   |   Re: some quick noob questionsNobody reads FAQs; it's a standard mantra in design. It's good to have one for us pro users who want to help ourselves, but we can't rely on everyone using it. That's why we have these helpful forums!

Hey guys! Lets all just lower our standards and give ourselves forum herpes!

All your post says to me is: "Weasel is lazy."

But it's always the new users who're asking these we-all-know questions. Even if the Weasel go warn anyone who ask these stuff, a newbie will pop up the other day with the same questions. (other aspects of shitty user quality, ehhhhh let's ignore them for the time being) Like dragonxp said, let's open an FAQ section at the bottom of the forum, and shove the FAQ threads into there.
