Post Questions, discussions, facts ,and just plain weird things.
This thread is for discussing about things in the game that may seem unclear, strange, funny, odd, or just may bother you when absolutely no one else in the world has ever bothered with it. Also for talking about interesting things (glitches, observed effects, and why something doesn't work the way you wanted it to and instead took your guys head off, which is a few down)

1. Err, I know how the foam sprayer can reduce fall damage, but what good is it for making walls? Also, have any of you managed to stop a bullet with it?

2. Q. Why free crabs? (A. For target practice. )

3. Whats your favorite weapon? Anything about a weapon you don't like that makes it bad? (Like how the Laser Rifle eats up ammo?)

4. Did any of you know that the Napalm Flamer leaves an orange residue that can also do damage (I believe that it is what CAUSES damage.)

5. Crabs took my guys head off when they fell out of a drop ship, and spun around... What the heck!

The orange residue has nothing to do with damage, it's simply MOSParticles that have settled. It's not supposed to happen.

None of the sprayers are good at making walls yet, the materials act as scrap instead of regular terrain, meaning if you destroy a pixel of it, a line of pixels above that pixel are also destroyed.

Crabs are free because Data or the content devs haven't gotten around to making them Buyable = 0 or moneycost.

5. Happens more than you think, thanks to the Cortex Command Unpredictable Physics Probability Drive.

1. Ever tried beating the crap out of whipped cream? Yeah.

2. Free crabs ftw.

3. REVOLVER CANNON, becasue why bother blowing the heads off your enemies when you can make them fly?

4. Yeah it's called napalm.

5. Ninja crabs. They slice the head of your men when you're looking.

1. now, but if you make a pit, fill it with foam and throw a molotov, incendiary, or red/blue/green explosives, you can have a giant burning creampie

2. because now data can say he gave us all crabs

3. Rail pistol. when playing fair, there's no better way to go, as Joseph Stalin said, Quantity has a Quality all of it's own

4. Yes, its called settling pixels that aren't FF00FF

5. yeah, its that same glitchyness that lets you kill people with the concrete sprayers.

and now, here's some new ones because.... durp.

6. you know the repeller gun? it's under tools... you can use it to save yourself from grenades, Mauler shotgun, Revolver cannon, grenade launcher, Rockets, and if your close enough, flack!

7. did you know that a "Rocklet" full of the dummy 'Distruptor' grenades, like 20-40 of them, can completely burn an IRL Baseball sized hole through nearly anything over the course of under a minute?

8. did you notice that the shovel can nolonger be used as a melee weapon because someone decided that getting hid on the head with a shovel can't even annoy someone?

9. the wiki page for reload and firing times is incorrect. it is not in Miliseconds as it says, as bigger numbers = faster firing. I think it's actually per minute, as 60, is about 1 second. this irritates me.

10. When defining sprite offsets Down, and right are negative, from the top left corner, but ever after that point, Up and left from the offset is negative, and NOT down and right as it was before.

11. MOSR's and AEmitters that use null.bmp, can still collide with terrain, and MOSParticles/pixels if they are set to hitsMOS=1 or GetsHitMOS = 1, but they do NOT collide with any MOSRs like actors, rockets, held devices, eachother, etc.

12. did you know you can make a crab bomb by filling a rocket with hundreds of crabs?

13. Did you know that there are more user created actors, held devices, crafts, TDE's, Scenes, and missions, than there are in core content, for this build alone?

There, I think i'm running out of stupidity.

6. Really? I should try that.

7. Err what?

8. Yea, but its still can kill. The scoop on the shovel is treated as a solid object. (I used it to smash crabs. Just make it look like you physically smashed it. You know, raise it and lower it. And that causes them to die, simular like if you landed on someone.)

9. Err yeaa...

10. Kerpushikadaauuhh

11. Derp :-P

12. I will try that. It sounds kind of funny. OH, how about this, you have a dropship full of crabs, and drop them on infantry.

13. Again... What?

heh. yea, not really much to say.

How about these.

14. The Heavy Sniper Rifle leaves a freaking 7 foot hole in anything it hits. It can even go through the seemingly indestructible metal layer around the rooms of your base. Soo... If we kept aiming at the same spot, we can get to anything. Even to the brain. 8) However... doors are hard to break through., mainly because of their endurance.

15. Did you know that the undead can't exit a dropship? They have such fragile bodies that when they hit the ground, they die! P.S. Skeleton bones are glitchy and eat through terrain.

12: a crab bomb is filling a rocket with hundreds of crabs. they all spawn and gib simultaneously, overloading the moid limit, causing every actor that's not a brain have their head explode.

I've exploded brains in this way.

you kill every actor on the map, if you spawn enough crabs to hit the MOID Limit + the current number of MOIDs. it could be 255, it could be over 600, (MOID's not crabs)

3. Vanilla-mauler shotgun, else=plazma cannon(Shooc's pack)

16. Actors can borrow into ground leaving only heads above. They can even dig with their bodies.

17. Rockets are best digging tools if you step on lying ones.

18. Actors without arms and legs feel so ashamed of themselves that die.

Well, it's too fast for common bleed. I had actors full of bullets vleed slower. So it feel like they get ashamed :D Tested on giant crab, it dies in a matter of seconds, and it doesnt commonly bleed.

Well ave someone chop your arms and legs off and come back and tell us that you don't die pretty fast.

They do die faster. If all they have is a head and torso, they will die very fast indeed. Even things that don't bleed.
Annoying, as it stops you using a limbless dummy as a kamikazi rocket.

rateoffire is supposedly defined as rounds per minute, but data's 'minutes' and 'seconds' are strikingly inaccurate to real timescales

reloadtime is a value in milliseconds

I dunno who added that to the wiki but they're only half wrong

ah. maybe data's minutes and seconds are based on CCTime, for what he expects the average computer to run at. for me 1 second seems to happen at 1:1 somewhere around .8 to .9... but then again data's time seems to be a little off, it's kinda like valve-time.

Actually ( @18 ) when an actor has all of it's limbs ripped off ( save for it's head/core ) it is deemed useless and slowly ( relatively ) terminates itself.
