Men of War: Red Tide
MOWCRT is an RTS that, imho, is really really hard. Even with saving every few minutes I end up dying a dozen times per mission; yet for some reason I keep playing it.
Odd that it didn't come with a tutorial or a manual though... I guess they expect you to play the original MoW and learn it all there.
Voice acting is horrible. "Damn those romanians. They have destroyed our team. They will have to pay, next time."

How the hell is it hard if you're fighting romanians?

Re: Men of War: Red Tide
See it's ultra realistic
They give you 6 russian commandos
then they put you up against 200 romanians and their tanks

Shouldn't said russian commandos know the weaknesses of their own equipment?

Re: Men of War: Red Tide
Romanians primarily used german equipment itt
Just uninstalled the game on about mission 5 or 6 or so. I like it, I'll probably finish it in the distant future. I'm just too busy and it's going to suck up my entire week.
I just got this dreadful feeling when I discovered I was playing on "easy" mode and still having a hell of a time. The game has a "direct control" feature where you can walk your dudes around and click to fire; they say it's optional, and I hate it so I've not used it. I'll bet you need to use it to win, and I hate that.

What tanks were used by them in that game?

I played the MOW demo and loved it. The realism is just great. I would have purchased it but nobody seems to sell it. Is red tide standalone? Might just get it through D2D.

Re: Men of War: Red Tide
I would rather buy original MOW. Red Tide is standalone with 23 intense singleplayer missions and little better voice acting than in original but it doesn't have multiplayer at all which was the best part in MOW for me. But of course if you are only after singleplayer experience then Red Tide it is.

It might not be the "generally accepted" 4chan/sa/etc usage though. :/ I used to think STFU was "stuff you" and I thought it was really original and refreshingly clever but of course, that was 15ish years ago

You meant iirc or irl though. doesnt matter. Will have to look into this game, though by the sounds of it it could be a time sink..

Oh for crying-out-loud, stay on-topic.
I have the original MoW and it's just delicious. I love playing as russians because they get a KV-1. It just can't be destroyed. Almost.
