Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2010-01-15: New spawn method)
R6 is ready. Below is a screen shot of the new way UAVs and cruise missiles are spawned. Once your order has been delivered a delivery icon sits at the top of the scene. If you select the icon you can cycle through the weapon load outs, select a direction and press fire to spawn the real craft. Once the craft has spawned, the icon is removed (this does not cause a loss). Note that an unused delivery icon stays until either launched or returned to orbit with the return command, so you can have several UAVs queued and ready to launch.

Completely broken. Upon selecting any UAV, it returns immediately when you spawn it, so you don't get a chance to use it. Only the cruise missile makes it without this problem.

Please include a list of the available UAV's and what they are armed with.
I don't know what any of the icons mean.
Perhaps words below the delivery sprite that describe the ordnance?
EDIT: Also there is not enough lift with out the booster and with the booster it goes too fast, otherwise no complaints.

I mean I cannot get low enough with the plane to shoot MG's without crashing it, and throttling makes it shoot off the map.
Also I don't know WHAT the bombs are that I see in the delivery icon

It wouldn't be a problem if you'd order the ♥♥♥♥ plane to find out what it does. Then you could associate said icon with the plane you just chose.
Anyone with an IQ above room temperature should be able to figure that out.

Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2010-01-15: New spawn method)
Works just fine for me - It's pretty easy to figure out the weaponry after a few minutes of use, I'm pulling loops on the trading center map, definitely a brilliant addition to CC.

Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2010-01-15: New spawn method)
To be more specific, what happens is that upon choosing any UAV type, it will refuse to give me control or so it seems, and fly upwards very quickly. Maybe I'll redownload and see, since I'm the only one with problems.

Prod and Dudemauler: I cannot figure out why is does not work properly. Do you use OSX? Have you changed delta time, or do you run with time scaling (ctrl+o)?
Also, I agree that the cruise missile engine is a bit weak.

I use XP, and I don't use time scaling. My delta time is at .0333333.

I put it to that to reduce the overall choppiness (I have such a bad computer). But whatever, I'll do it.

Meh, I don't fiddle with deltatime and such, they mess up the game for me. Also 500 post count as of this post.

Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2010-01-15: New spawn method)
Changing delta made it stay on screen a half-second longer, but I'm denied any control the UAV, and now half of them just explode as soon as they spawn. Maybe you should put up a classic respawn version. As a last resort though, I'm just gonna re-install.
