Cortex Command = Dead?
Well, first of all, hello. I got known to Cortex Command a few days ago, and I think it's a great game so far. So I searched the forums for mods, dl'd them, tried them out, etc Then I started reading in Game Discussion, seeing people talking about how the developer ("Data" AFAI recall) lost interest in this game and stopped developing it. Build 23 was released 6-7 months ago (dunno if that's correct) and 24 still isn't here. Also, the Developer Blod is dead since the beginning of December. So my question is: Is this game really dead? Is there some official declaration that the game isn't going to be developed further? Would be a shame to hear that :/
And sry for bad english, I'm german...

Hah, no, that's just people getting all excited. Data habitually disappears for months at a time (I believe b18 was out for a year and a half before b19, iirc what Grif told me).

Perhaps Data and his wife had some kids and he's busy taking care of them.

Plus this is actually pretty common... Data not showing any sings of life, that is. Oh I remember the times where I would log in and see Data post stuffs on the forums. (I miss 2006 :[ )

Data may, in fact, be a zombie. He goes into long periods of hibernation without food.
I propose feeding Data with the greatest community modders in order to get CC developed further. They must have delicious brains.

Nope. Cricket, TLB, CapnBubs (For the essential vitamin spritazine), the recently ressurected Ropeface, aaaand let's throw in Darlos and Shook for good measure. That's everyone who comes immediately to mind anyway.

Gotcha, I'll take mostly because of MP3. I can't remember Whitty making anything too spectacular, and we already have Shook covering the randomness factor. DSMK2, Maybe. A definitive maybe.

Re: Cortex Command = Dead?
do you?
pots and kettles
also: builds 13, 18, and 21 were both out for several months without updates
you just kinda get used to there not being any devlog updates
it makes it better when you do get them.

Re: Cortex Command = Dead?
I do intermiddent modding, but its nothing special enough for a relese, and the sprites are bad, and Whenever I ask for help on sprites, people go on and on about how the sprites are bad, and dont actually give any help, so I just go back to lurking in the shadowsss....*poof*
