Be advised, this thread is constantly undergoing revision.

So I got an idea today: Collating all of the most frequently asked questions into one thread. Provide links to them, or short and concise solutions to frequent, simple questions.

Unfortunately, the forum is a large place, and I am asking everyone to collaborate to bring this goal to fruition. Stumble upon a thread that we have seen multiple times? Post about it here. Find older, unbumped threads that have useful insight or information? Post them here.

I will work on drafting actual responses as best to my ability, but for now the goal is to just help me get all the threads and wiki pages together.

If individual or individuals would be so kind as to thread-ify and post parts of the wiki FAQ into the forum, that would be great. Post in Game Discussion using the subject FAQ: [topic]

"How Do I Make the AI Spawn where I Want it to?" threads, I've seen a few times.

Nobody actually know about/visits the wiki, maybe I should start spreading it around to make it more visited.
Maybe put some of the most common ones into the post as well, just to make them easy to access.

Also you weren't the first to come up with this idea, THOR, but I guess it's a good thing someone is trying again.

I was joking when I said 'go away, duh.' not including a smiley shouldn't mean anything. Man.

Anyhow, I was contributing. I was saying that putting the wiki link in the first post would be a good idea.

I was saying that THOR was acting really clever because "So I got an idea today: Collating all of the most frequently asked questions into one thread." and he really wasn't, many other people have recommended that. I got a little annoyed when he acted like he was extremely original.

"so I was thinking"/"so I had an idea"/"so what do you think of" it's all idiomatic

How to change starting resources would be a nice thing. Ophanim put together "Everything you need to know about modding" so I will try to help out with this and make it global - what needs doing?

Right now we just need to find topics that are most asked. Should involve scouring the boards a couple pages (and keeping an eye out for new topics).

I guess the Most asked question has a topic of it's own.

I'd say some really basic questions would be the most important, like the ones already mentioned.
Things like: Why does CC sometimes crash with no good reason. Basic modding failures EVERYONE has made atleast once.
The how to improve speed topic, etc....
