Re: speculate
If Multiplayer WERE to happen, crabs would need to cost money, somehow i feel if crabs were left free, There would be a lot of noobish crab bombing.

Re: speculate
I've played splitscreen a bit with the rules: No Crab Bombs Agreed upon mods only 1 faction + faction less stuff Your base must have a path from the brain to open air obscured by doors only. No cheap digging through the base No lame suicide bombing
Mostly what happens is the first couple seconds diggers dig like nuts, waypoints are set, then both players send out one equipped guy from their base. Then they both buzz around with jetpacks trying to kill each other. The winner goes to attack the base and the loser switches control over to the first defender, calls in reinforcements, or sets digger way points. Mostly it's spamming units at the enemy base and reinforcing your own base until attrition wins the day.
I dunno, I just think it would be really interesting to see how the metagame would develop and if there's a higher level of gameplay in CC.

Re: speculate
Leaderboards would be mad pointless unless they only counted with vanilla CC

Re: speculate
OH BOIZ! MULTY-PEEPULS! ONLINE!
I thought I came up with a pretty good method of online multiplayer without lag issues, but nobody listens to cricket.
If CC were to be online-multiplayer, there should be vanilla anti-air turrets to prevent near-endless bombings, or players should try to capture specific artifacts to win, which are held by the enemy player, and therefore have to be careful about where they should bomb.

Re: speculate
In multiplayer (HAHA SPECULATION) rockets WOULD be very much used, untill someone figures out that a dummy with a heavy digger is enough to defend against them.

Re: speculate
Someone explain to me how "forum update regarding B24" really involves multiplayer. Get your heads out of your asses.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this bit, does this confirm that data is working on another project as well? probably that ant game that he started a while back, could be high scores in that or a registration system (though I don't think he'd sell it)

Re: speculate

Re: speculate
the way I read the whole thing scancode seemed to be talking about a server feature that will be applicable to future titles as well as b24
