Re: Art Dump
I'd say that looks pretty good as a concept or sketch.

http://forsakengeti.deviantart.com/art/ ... -149145398lazy piece by me, coloured and manipulated someone's lineart. I was just frowny that he never colours his work, so I did it for him. More proper drawings soon. madmax wrote: Not dithering QQ madmax wrote: checkered grips Oh, I know. Much easier when you're drawing rather than pixeling keen to see a progression.

I obviously meant ppsh, you just couldn't grasp the subtle underlying irony in my original post.

Re: Art Dump
Fixed the stock, and added some colors and details. Still not good overall, but I'm really proud of that little thing on top of the barrel that is used for aiming (and has a funny name I cannot recall).

Courage the Cowardly Dog, loved it when I was little. I especially remember the barber episode. Seriously CN, where are all your good shows now?

I recently got into this somewhat sloppy look here, I think it's quite nice. Very glowy. Linkedbecausethey'redesktop (1600x900) size

madmax wrote: Not dithering but I probably will add more colors to smooth out the slide, the real challenge comes with the checkered grips which I plan on doing one by one, trying to get every little detail from my reference. Would look BA if you dithered it.

Latest version, and probably the final one too, unless anyone knows how I could improve it. Not too bad for someone whose only previous modelling experience was that... thing from two pages ago, right?

Re: Art Dump
The stock is still a block, make it more.... Cylindrical... Flater and smoother also.

Re: Art Dump
The barrel and magazine are looking good. Though the grip and stock need to be less blocky. The best sprite/pixel art I've ever done: I gave it the insignia of the 19th Light Brigade, based in Catterick. That came out better than i expected, although i had to change the background of it. Logo here.

Fractals with blur and either a median filter or that gimp thing which squarises bright or dark things, cannot remember? could be erode or something. haven't used gimp in too long. Anywho, very comfy look. needs a little more composition though, and then I'd use it.

Re: Art Dump
This word I do not understand... But uh, a render:nature:flame thrown into the alpha-to-logo:neon thing. I'm so very artistic. And a crapload of blurring on the glow layer outputted by it (some other minor changes to value).
