Re: Art Dump
Finally found a decent 3D modeling program with a MaximDude friendly UI. Been doing some practicing, heres my first successful attempt at a gun, though i'm not very pleased with the slide. Silo 2.0.6 Time took to make: Too much.

Re: Art Dump
Much better. I prefer Google Sketchup for the very few occaisions that I do want to model anything (Yes, shut up about it), and thusly I'm still at the "boxy thingamagun with no textures" stage.

Yeah, i think you need to cut back on the HyperNURBS. In some programs, you can add phong mapping (like Cinema4D) I don't know which one you're using.

Re: Art Dump
I figure I might as well showcase some of my 3D stuff here. The result of about half an hour messing with Blender: (It's supposed to be a bolt-action rifle, in case it's too ugly to understand.) I didn't use Subsurf because it made the barrel look weird, but I might use Bevel later if I can make it look reasonably good. Ah, yes, C&C, if you don't mind.

That actually sums it up quite nicely. Just for you to see how bad I am at digital arts. And a beveled version, just because:
