Re: Art Dump
I remember that pic, nice remake.
And toes, sweet stuff, why not go in and continue to define the lower areas? At any rate that's nice.

Re: Art Dump
Been doing some practicing. The leg out front came out too big, the pistol out front looks kinda weird, the fingers stuck balls and now that I look at it, I don't like the way I drew the hel+mask combo at all. Bleh, I suck at drawing anything human like. I wish my scanner worked so I could at lest post it with decent quality.

Also, the grid based resolution and turn based nature of X-Com games doesn't really require the models to move and animate perfectly smoothly. It feels disjointed... a grid based TBS having very smoothly animated characters. I'd prefer to see jerky animation which matches the resolution of the grid, in a way. I made some isometrical gfx for my LudumDare entry Legacy of HYDON. One thing which I discovered was that drawing a single frame is easy, drawing the same character consistently from several angles, takes a lot more time. A 3D model to work over would reduce time spent on... consistency-fying the frames significantly.

Anyway, I'm a pixelartist my whole life (serious) and you can see some of my work here and here. Im something beetween 20 and 30, not sure myself I have decided to move to Thailand for some time now. I will probably stay in Bangkok (which is really called KrungThep btw) at the end but might travel here and there when taste for adventure arise. So if there's somebody from Thailand \ Bangkok \ some Koh etc who would like to meet (coffe, beer, art talk, whatever) let me know here or P.Message (for contacts exchange and stuff). I'be standing on Bangkok airport, staring aimlessly, on 6.Jan.2010 and even though I dont look it, I can speak english. Can't wait to meet you people in Siam ! RIVA'S ART. Pretty badass.

Re: Art Dump
I really like the third one, it makes me feel adventurous plus I just played STALKER so that sorta amplifies the feeling. Data Realms seems to go down a lot, seems to me like that would effect sales...

I'm quite sure the third one is from the end of a NITROME game.
