Notice how the block on the side affects the shadow. Throw in some walls  This is probably fairly similar to how individual light sources in rooms will work.

Should be back up within a few hours, tomorrow at the latest. Doubedit: Nothing will be lost. For one, all server data is on a different partition than the boot partition. For another, I have a copy of the map from the Isocraft on this computer. No more than an hour or two would be lost in the worst case scenario.
