Re: Art Dump
Oh come on. I don't need a ruler to tell that that isn't straight, you shouldn't either.

Re: Art Dump
The perspective is a bit odd and it isn't straight, but I sort of like it.

Re: Art Dump
Next time you should lightly sketch as straight a line as you can then keep the gun on the line. You really shouldn't need a ruler to draw a straight line, especially if it's on graph paper.

no need to be mean to him, he may not be doing what we do. instead give advice on what to do for future reference.

Re: Art Dump
I lost a long post in the event of a computer reset, rawr. Have this, and some criticism: Attachment:
File comment: As you're working on graph/quad paper, I used a grid too.
CRITICISM: Gun seems twisted as the perspective changes a lot through the length of the weapon. Scope is off to the right, should be on the centerline. There appears to be nowhere for the casings to eject, fine only in a caseless weapon (unless that is it over the grip, but i hope not). Stock is awesome <3 Overall your geometry is fine, your perspective is just horrid and your design is a tad/very flawwed from a weapons perspective. Keep at it, use the grid to conjure up lines, sketch beforehand more to get the lines correct, add weight to the lines once they are in the right place (I know far too many people who try to draw with the pencil pressed so hard into the paper it leaves a small canyon behind it, dont do that) Nice signature.

Re: Art Dump
For me, a simpler way that lets me get perspective when I doodle... In reality, these lines are light and barely visible. Sorta acts as a better guide for me when I start adding crap to a doodle. Did my lich-king suck? Or is my doodle... -sigh-

Re: Art Dump
Whenever i draw 3D, the drawings lack realism because my shading skills are next to nothing. Something quickly bashed together in a program called Vue (surprise surprise, lol watermark), i think it's rather magnificent.

Everyone should do that if they have trouble with perspective. It's an easy/cheap way to do it and it makes sure all your lines are straight. v-good. Playing with vanishing point makes things a bit more complex, but necessary in larger scenes. This one is a bit off, and very simple, but it still took me a few hours: Good example of how even drawing those lines isn't enough, you do actually need practice drawing things and then sitting back and analyzing it. - Building to the top-left has a sloped roof; - Foreground building, left panel is angled outwards - The landing strip is dipping towards the bottom - The panel above the landing strip is proportioned strangely - etc

Procedural animation: Everlasting circuitry
I wrote a script in Processing (a variation of Java aimed towards graphics, like Nodebox for Python) which produces trippy moving patterns...

Can you make this bigger? EDIT: This is a request, not a question.

Well if it's procedural he probably can or can easily modify it to be able to.
