I'm guessing this is probably my computer, but I'll bring it up anyways.
Whenever I try to extract it, it tells me 'File skipped unknown compression method' or something along the lines of that.
Really good from what I saw earlier though. :D

Hmm...
Maybe you could go with ridiculous action movie tropes.
A katana that, when swung, reflects stuff and has the standard particle rape. Possibly with Lua'ised terrain rape minimalisation.
The ability to randomly dodge at a stupidly high chance. Or not.
A gun that ricochets a ridiculous amount, with slight gravity towards enemies.
A knife that instant kills if the enemy is in front of you, facing away and unalerted.
A melee function like Darlos' Oni, except with lower power and extremely rapid continual hitting.

What archiving program are you using? I used a hastily downloaded 7zip to compress it, and i tweaked the settings a little, so windows default or a few other things might not like it..
The plans are to basically make it a pretty over the top badass actor with powers simmilar to an action hero in those silly movies. flips and ♥♥♥♥, as well as melee combat and possibly a blast-shockwave action are planned. He's basically just going to be an actor that looks cool, and is as fun as i can make him to play with, if pretty overpowered (and expensive).
Current primary is going to be a mass-based slug AR-type weapon likely with between 7 and 12 rounds to a mag, effect akin to the old revolver cannon, visuals improved, and with 2-3 stage rocket propelled slugs.
Secondary idea is basically a 4 shot revolver pistol that shoots cartridges/grenades that explode into fire-chainsaw-nets, that entangle and shred enemies. Rate of fire will be pretty terrible, damage will be fairly mint.
Other ideas for more secondaries (tertiaries?) and possibly grenades welcome, though I want to keep a cap on content as I am only going to have an hour or so each day to do any work, which i will likely neglect or draw/sleep in rather than work on this.
Sniper type weapon? Lightning grenades? I'm annoyed at all of the fire/red gfx that spawns from this, need something to mix of the palette a little.
Glad you guys like it in its infancy.

Hmm...
How about he heals constantly, doesn't die from wounds and has medpacks that increase his health?
That would allow a weapon that just lights yourself on fire, maybe with your Zombies molotov fire, for a period of time in which you run around giving people flaming hugs. You'd have to heal yourself afterwards though.

This would definitely give an actor a more traditional action game feel, since most games don't have individual body parts exploding.

A bit off topic: man, imagine if you were playing, like, final fantasy 7 and Cloud got his arm blown clean off. That'd be startling to say the least. Makes me think of how you could make a game with brutal damage like in CC but that also has a stable cast.

Well you'd have to have a way to regrow or replace lost parts. Or you could make the entire cast replaceable apart from the main character, like Fire Emblem.
Anyway, you should probably make the actor spray grenades everywhere upon death.

YES...... yes, that is the single most epic idea of a weapon I have ever read in my life. I have an idea..... geti quick without thinking think of a random weapon and write down it's features in under 15 seconds. I want to see what your brain can really do!
(lol I contradicted myself you have to think to think of a weapon :roll: )

Clean out your mod stockpiles (the ones that actually load, you can keep the discarded ones somewhere other than the recycling bin) every once in a while, so CC will load much faster. As for whether it's worth it or not, only you can tell yourself. YES.

I don't know about you, but I don't feel much nostalgia for the older builds of CC. Despite its overuse of gore, I like the CC wound system.

Actually I meant the sniper that looked good. It's just the normal badass weapon made a bit longer.
However the whole mod is just awesome.

The wound system was still there, there just wasn't gibbing. And besides, he'll still be blowing everyone else apart, and he'll also probably gib from impulse damage.
