Mr. thor, if you are so apt to critique the posts themselves, perhaps you could add something to the discussion they contain. If you can not, no one will mind when you do not frequent them.

His critique is an addition to the overall discussion because it helps direct the discussion to more intelligent and realistic suggestions rather than ones which will never work or be practically implemented; why should he have to come up with them, too? Does he need to do EVERYTHING?

There's nothing to contribute to this thread because all you are doing is complaining to Data about something he should (but won't) do. The most useful posts to come out of this thread can't be anything more than "/signed."

Now now eric you know Data wont do something just cause there is a petition about it.

A)Loading via Lua is a poor and cumbersome solution, and misses the point. There should be more integration of community content into the game and editors, not less.
B)Flags for loading last is just an extension of the inadequate alphabetical loading we have now.

A)What if the scene editor generated a .lua and an object with that script attached to spawn everything? all i hear is qqing about it all being so hard and unstreamlined, not actually looking for solutions.

my addendum, where any content from other modules is checked for dependencies after its rte is loaded to allow inter-rte asset usage doesnt assess the issue that the scene editor produces? I am confuse @_.
Stop ignoring this point please. It's what you're asking for without huge overhead for those scenes that don't need it.

Geti: You made great, constructive posts. I think you're confused about what I was asking for, though. There's no specific way of performing the function that I was pushing, and I'm not sure what you're referring to as your addendum.
Duh's solution is most ideal if all content was loaded as the hard-coded content is, but would slow loading and error catching. Changing the way the game loads it's editors would also be a solution, but opens a lot of room for end-user error.
