   |   Left Four Dead TooI was so excited about L4D last year that I bought 6 copies and handed them out on a forum. The people the proceeded to playing FRIGGING SINGLE PLAYER ALL THE TIME and I vowed to never do that again. So now I am holding my shiny new SINGLE copy of L4D2 and was wondering if anyone wants to actually play, you know, online. The way the game was meant to be played. With voice comms. If anyone is a fan of L4D1, I would say it is in every way improved - but so lightly so that I wouldn't say it's worth full price. HOWEVER, the whole "it should be an update" debate isn't worth starting again. My favorite new feature is the anti-camping 'missions' you get in the game - like where you have to go fetch some bottles of GENERIC COLA and return it to a building, all while endless hordes and tanks stream in. No more camping in optimal spots; now you have to push your way through a crowd! New additions like laser sights are nice (not for their accuracy, but for awareness of where your friends are aiming) and the variety of throwable items is cool too. So how about it. Who's up for slaughtering some zombies? Also, if we get enough peeps Vs. mode is pretty kickass. So how about it. Who's up for slaughtering some humans?

   |   Re: Left Four Dead TooI would love to. If only Torchlight and various other things hadn't drained my wallet of essential vitamins such as Lincolns, Washingtons, Whoever Else, and Benjamins.

   |   Re: Left Four Dead TooI've bought it and have enjoyed it, but it has terribly choppy performance on my machine, so it hasn't been as fun as it could have been. They said they weren't going to raise the minimum requirements, and that L4D2 could run just as well as L4D if desired. Not the case.

But anyways, I would probably [try to] play some VS sometime if there were a game arranged.

Weasel, I disagree on the laser sight thing, the accuracy they add can be very useful, especially on the AK, and any other particularly inaccurate weapons. I imagine that they would also be great on hunting/sniper rifles, making them usefully accurate on the go, too. They do seem to have no effect on the shotguns though, as far as accuracy/spread.

Anyone else kinda disappointed with the grenade launcher?
It seems to only be worth grabbing when there's a tank and not even useful enough for that to be worth toting around in general game play.

   |   Re: Left Four Dead TooIn L4D1 the sniper rifle, though useful in a few specific circumstances, is relatively useless. It is a subset of the assault rifle and you are better off with the AR in 90% of all situations... however I use the sniper rifle because it trades off usefulness for FUN. It is so much fun just to fire that thing.
I think the grenade launcher in L4D2 takes that role to a whole new level. It's phenomenally useless but it's epically awesome to fire. I love taking some long range potshots and blowing up a single zombie 300 meters away.

   |   Re: Left Four Dead TooI am going to buy as soon as possible!I'm a great fan of L4D. But due to very high ping I have at home (approx. 150-200 ms) we usually played at computer clubs. But there weren't less fun!
I'm now searching for a new provider to stop --------------T--H--I--S--------------↑

   |   Re: Left Four Dead TooI'm probably going to go for the 4-pack deal if there's a discount around Christmas. I'll end up playing it like I played L4D: group games once or twice a week.
