Re: Official Christmas Mod Contest
It was originally only a TC contest, but we decided it would be better for a multi-forum offering to have it be any size mod. TC's are cool though, so you should attempt one. EDIT: In light of the occurrence of a disqualification in the other contest, I have updated the rules as to voter treatment of the anonymity of the disqualified entrant. In case you don't want to read them again, see my post on the matter here.

Re: Official Christmas Mod Contest
To kick-start some holiday spirit, I did a quick reconnaissance of the situation in Base.rte and produced a little menu mod. PiccyClicky: Attachment:

NOTES: BACK UP Base.rte/Title FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR MENU, you'll probably want it back eventually. Overwrite the files in Base.rte/Title with the files in the .rar. You may use this for your mod if you like. I will be recommending it or a better version that I may make (replace the loading screen and menu buttons and stuff) for when mods are released for public review. HOWEVER, it is very much an unsupported mod, so use at your own risk.

Hyperkultra wrote: Duh, you just made my (holi)day. BUT WAIT! There's more! New version. Sparkly stars, menu color changes, font color change, and a Santa hat for a mouse. DL: This replaces both Base.rte/GUI and Base.rte/Title. As before: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, BACK UP YOUR BASE.RTE Also, if anyone knows where the mission blip glow is, I'd like to know... As far as I can tell, it's not in Base.rte/Effects/Glows. Same with the line going from the mission accept dialog to the blip. They're hard to see on the white background EDIT: But wait, there's still more! Added Christmas lights (thank you Gotcha!), the correct number of reindeer, and changed the loading screen. Overwrites files in Base.rte/GUI and Base.rte/Title as usual. Backup for best results. DL above. EDIT: Further, small update with new loading screen. Mediafireor Attachment:
File comment: New loading screen

Re: Official Christmas Mod Contest
Hmmm, I might enter something this time. Consider me available for a team, but I'll get started on my own idea/s and PM anyone who might want to help me (Lua coders are always appreciated).

Re: Official Christmas Mod Contest
I'd be willing to help If you didn't mind the fact that I am lua illiterate, mainly because Mod contest 5 proved that I cant be arsed to make an entire project myself. Hahahaah I spelled everything right! lol.....

I'll probably only really be able to attend meetings or anything like that on weekends, maybe sometimes during the week, I can do what I do all week though. As for what I do, I'm a jack-of-all-trades, but mainly spriting. I forgot to mention I can do simple Lua scripts as well.

Re: Official Christmas Mod Contest
I'm currently working on an unrelated mod to get me back into the swing of modding, but I have an idea or two. I will require a Lua coder.

I'm available for a team, I do graphics well, and my specialty is bombs. Can't do lua though. Teammate needs to be able to do ini coding.
