Xfire Support for CC
This thread in the Xfire forums was started a while ago but still there is no support for Cortex Command with Xfire. http://www.xfire.com/forums/182627/topic/1250108/?p=1#post6776792If you'd like Xfire to support CC, please post in the above linked thread saying you wish it to be so...

Re: Xfire Support for CC
What would we really gain from XFire support? A few updates ago, all XFire did for most of my games was make them lag tremendous amounts.

The fact that you don't have to alt+tab or play in a window if you want to talk to people and so on.

I personally can't and probably don't speak for most other people here, but when I'm playing, one of the last things on my mind is talking to people.

I would appreciate this too. Xfire isn't just for talking to people; it lets you track the hours you're playing, and I think this would be tremendously useful. Also helps you go "Omgwtfbbq I just spent 30 hours on CC in 2 days"

Re: Xfire Support for CC
I have a clock on my joystick but it dosen't help me play less, yesterday I spent a whole 13.5 hours from near eight to ten-to-nine in the eavning. However I don't think that chating is among things CC players need, how would mouse users navigate the menu? Can you type a message without a ninja dummy killing your brain? I think it could be good if you could set up a room for cortex command only, then you could let people know what you'r playing, any mods or just say hi. this wouldn't be appreciated as a permament addition if it lagged though, I have a very high-end windows 7 computer and CC still goes down to 2 fps when I fire Shook's zero-division cannon.

Re: Xfire Support for CC
if you want to use voice chat
use ventrilo
hard command keys to talk means no alt-tabbing
if you want text chat while playing CC you're just dumb
if you honestly want to track how many hours you've played CC jesus you're obsessed with e-peen and there's a huge number of programs that could do that for you.

Perhaps you should research Xfire a bit before commenting. Ingame chat is used to chat to your xfire friends and msn contacts (this feature is in BETA.), so I have no idea what you mean by a "room" for cortex command. It creates minimal lag, I can run TF2 with full settings and have xfire open without a drop in FPS. When you talk using Xfire, you press a key combination. (Scrolllock+X in my case.) This will usually pause any single-player game you are playing. Or if you don't do it, I must say that you are an idiot. Xfire also provides in-game video recording, photographing, and browser support.

Re: Xfire Support for CC
Oh, might just be me getting it confused with another chat then, the lag could have been my computer at the time, also it kept opening a website, not sure what or why. A game I had required it. I guess I was relying on previous posts as fact about lag. Anyway - Why wouldn't we use alt-tab? It hardly takes any time if CC is paused. Also, does steam allow the comunity bar on non-steam games? Just I have steam and that would work if several people on the forums have steam.

You can register CC on steam, then start it up via steam.

Re: Xfire Support for CC
I tried that and all it does is add a shortcut to your steam page, what I was wondering about was if the chat and comunity window could be accesed - it can't.
