Re: Deadly Vinepit of death
He actually blew it up - I have that story. Gets trapped inside the sarlacc, throws a bomb and overloads his jet pack which literally blasts him out, then he digs through the sand, half naked and burned until he reaches the surface. Dengar then finds him and so begins the bounty hunter wars series. Oh and he comes back in his new ship and torches the sarlacc with it's engines.

Further proof that Boba Fett is equal to Yarrick in terms of awesomeness and manliness.

I have absolutely no idea who most of these Star Wars references are, save the big ones. I really never cared about Star Wars.

Re: Deadly Vinepit of death
You could simultaneously fix the drawing and make the whole thing look better by duplicating Kyred's "rope" drawing from the Grappling Hook; make a multi-frame sprite that's a length of rope, then just rotate and change frames to align it properly.

Rockets can be pulled in if your not careful. Rocklets and smaller craft can be pulled in easily. All ships take damage once inside the pit. Looking forward to some awesome sprite for it tho. But very unlikely a DS would try to fit in that small pit.

Don't judge a book by the cover, try it out. It looks genuinely good, even if it is a yellow square. Just look past that, and focus on the person om nomming.

This is the kind of attitude you need to really embrace a game like CC, Spelunky, Minecraft, or one of the 10 buhmillion other perfectly awesome games out there that look crap but are amazing. I blame consoles.

Eugh. I tried to like roguelikes, but I just didn't like the gameplay. Wurm. Shocking graphics, I've played non-stop for three days. If you go Sarclac, could you have it as a cross-section, and tentacles come out either side of the mouth-pit, creating a tentacle sprite on the place it grabs? And it drags back to the beak?

Try DoomRL, it is fun, you get guns, it is easy, IF YOU ARE A GOOD PLAYER!!! Oh, and you must be stuck on 3-D games, I've played many 2-D games that have more depth, irony! ( Take the bait, and play it! )Oh, and does he really need to stress about graphics, he could just focus on an awesome design, instead of having to put all of the development into graphics which add little to no depth to it.
